24.01.2022 The labels on your medicines contain a lot of information. Its name, the dose, and something you might not look at as often - the expiry date. If the medicine ...is not something you use often, or stopped using, you may find it is out of date. Routinely going through your first aid kit and medine cabinet and checking the expiry dates on your medicines is an important step to reducing possible accidents from someone taking or using something they shouldnt. If you find something that is past its date, set it aside somewhere safe and bring it into the Pharmacy as soon as you can for proper disposal. See more

23.01.2022 HISTORIC SNAPSHOT ~ A collection of photos of Pilgrim Inn, Blaxland. The remains of this building are now in the McDonalds carpark. The site has historic significance at the local level as it is directly associated with the early settlement of the lower Blue Mountains and Blaxland in particular. In the Inn period the site has associations with the locally prominent John Wascoe, and after closure of the inn with the Deane family who occupied the site for 100 years. 21.01.2022 Blue Mountains update Good afternoon As you will see on the Fires Near Me App we have a bush fire is burning in bushland between Faulconbridge and Linden.... It is on the southern side of the Great Western Highway between Faulconbrigde and Linden, in the area of Martin Place and Chapman Avenue. The fire is not contained at this time. Firefighters are working to slow the spread of the fire. Just as they always do, our emergency services are performing an incredible job on our behalf. I know that you would be proud of them all. A strong southerly change is forecast this evening. Please pay attention to advisories. Keep your bushfire survival plans close at hand. I won’t be able to answer operational questions here because I don’t have that information but the point of this message, as with fire seasons past, is to let you know what I know in clear language and to ask you to pay attention to the advisories.

15.01.2022 Fire Weather Warning | Sunday 29 November 2020 Severe Fire Danger is forecast to occur for of most of Sunday across much of the Greater Sydney Area. A Tot...al Fire Ban is in place for the Greater Sydney Area which includes the Blue Mountains Local Government Area. A total fire ban means no fires may be lit in the open air from midnight tonight until midnight Sunday night, this includes solid fuel BBQ and outdoor stoves. Significant penalties apply for persons who breach Total Fire Ban regulations. In Severe Fire Danger conditions, leaving early is the safest option for your survival. Well prepared homes that are actively defended can provide safety but only stay if you are physically and mentally prepared to defend in these conditions. If you’re not prepared, leave early in the day. #nswrfs #prepared #capable
