25.01.2022 I have a customer with a delectable collection of bikes including a couple of Bimotas. He dropped around this afternoon and showed off his latest acquisition, a Bimota Tesi 3D Evo. SWWWEEEET!

22.01.2022 Proworx Team set up here at Phillip Island for the race weekend. Already kicking goals with great practice times placing 2 of our riders in P2 and 3. All riders are firing in the top 20. #ls2ambassadoraus #ls2helmet #penrite

21.01.2022 The shop is a dealer for the new range of LS2 helmets. Designed in Spain and manufactured in LS2s own factory, these helmets are constructed of a composite material called KPA. It consists of aramid fibres that have been shredded to a micro thickness and then coated in a polymer. The resulting material is super lightweight as well as being flexible and just as strong as carbon fibre or kevlar helmets. There are some great graphics across the range and a price to suit every budget. Check them out at https://www.ls2helmets.com.au/

21.01.2022 The next chapter starts today. Ninja 400 #1 is here, on the bench and will be stripped down to turn into a race bike ASAP.

17.01.2022 To all my loyal customers, I'd just like to let you know that I will continue to be open and available to repair or service your bikes, quads or UTVs throughout this period. As all of the ASBK race series is either postponed or under review currently, the workshop will be open every weekday. Rest assured, as long as I can obtain the parts I need from my suppliers, I will fix your machine.

17.01.2022 Well that was a massive weekend of racing. The Proworx team has started to get the results we have been striving for . Fantastic results for Zylas Bunting in the top 15 consistently in his first outing on the Ninja 400.

17.01.2022 The workshop has been very busy of late, not only with race bike builds and preps, but also with customer work. Owner has just picked up his Polaris 570 Ranger which was in for a complete engine rebuild. Not fitting the air cleaner box lid correctly meant the engine was badly dusted then it was driven until the oil ran out. Result, new crankshaft, new piston and rings with a rebore, new valves and guides, and a new oiled foam air filter this time. On the bench is Jasons 2006... ZX6R for a new set of fork springs and oil change to set the bike up for his weight and riding style. Forks are OK, bushes are good but the dust and oil seals also need replacing so the bike will have a fully overhauled set of forks when he picks it up. The workshop will be closed Friday 19th to Monday 22nd April (Easter) and also Thursday 25th April (ANZAC Day).

17.01.2022 Some photos from last weekend. Photo credits to CompAust. Thanks.

16.01.2022 Well yesterdays 2 races were a mixed bag of results. In race 1, Luke Power started from 14th and rode brilliantly to finish 4th. Zylass race was positive, starting in 7th, he rode to an eventual 10th place. Jake Senior started from 19th and secured 15th at the end. Unfortunately Joseph Marineillo starting at 16th was involved in an incident at turn 4 which put him out of the race. Race 2 saw all the riders starting again from their same grid positions however this time Luk...e Power rode like an absolute demon to cross the line in 2nd, only to find out he was penalised for a jump start and copped a 10 second penalty which dropped him back to 12th. Zylas rode well again for an 11th place finish and this time Joseph finished the race in 18th spot. A minor run off fall saw Jake DNF the race. We now have to wait until the last race, later today, to get another crack at a podium. Luke Jhonston, our Proworx supported rider had a great couple of races, with a 3rd in race 1 and a 2nd in race 2, as well as another new lap record. #proworxracing #blayneymotorcycles #wellsprungmotorcyclesuspension #penrite #wrpbridgestone #mickmuldoonmotorcycles #whitespowersportsaustralia #ls2ambassadoraus #ls2helmet #asbk Photo courtesy of James OHagan.

14.01.2022 Post race report from last weekend

12.01.2022 Whilst I did originally build the bike under question, it was sold by the team last year to Adam Jhonston and as such I have had NO technical input into this bike since then. I do not condone cheating and will happily allow MAs Chief Technical Scrutineer to examine any part of any of the Proworx Racing team owned bikes. The bike ridden by Luke Power on the weekend was checked at the same time as Luke Jhonstons and our bike was found to be fully compliant. I wish Luke Jhonst...on all the best in his future endeavours, but I must re-iterate that I have personally had no technical control of his bike and therefore must state that I will not be associated with him henceforth. 11.01.2022 A very busy weekend last week, but some really excellent results. Proves that the bikes that I built are capable of running at the front of the class.

11.01.2022 Sorry I havent posted anything for a while but I have been very busy here in the workshop lately. Not only has the customer work been coming in but I have also been building 3 new Ninja 400 race bikes for the team. I will be closed from this Wednesday afternoon until next Tuesday as I am attending the next round of the ASBK at Morgan Park. See you all next week.

10.01.2022 Well that weekend of racing has left me feeling down. Whilst we are the only team still trying to race Kawasaki Ninja 300s, it is really depressing to be competing against such blatant cheats as are most of the R3 Yamahas being campaigned. When the commentators even remark about the amazing new lap record of a 1:05, given that the previous best was about 1:08, you have to wonder why would you bother trying to stay legal. Whilst our intentions are to move up to Ninja 400s, ...even they are not competitive yet due to the draconian restrictions placed on the bikes by MA, likely at the behest of Yamaha, the series sponsor. Until MA ease the stupid restriction on suspension, no Kawasaki will get a look in for this championship, and you cant help but wonder if this is all being done to benefit the Yamaha riders. All our riders rode their absolute best on the weekend and for their efforts they were at the back of the field. Their times would have had them in the mid field pack last year but then we arent cheating. Seems to me that as there is no penalty for cheating in this class I might as well build a hot engine for our bikes and see how we go then. Until MA start dyno testing the bikes at the front of this field and prove to everyone that they arent cheats, I think we will all continue to have a sour taste in our mouths after every race. 08.01.2022 Well were off to a good start. The team is ready to kick some arse and looking very cool doing it in their new team leathers. First practice session done and we have 2nd and 3rd fastest times plus all the riders in the top 20. Looking forward to tomorrow and the next practice then on to qualifying.

08.01.2022 A very busy week this week, catching up with some unfinished jobs from last week that were awaiting parts and getting through this weeks booked in work. Some interesting ones, first up, replacing the airbox on a Triumph Speedmaster. The bike was in for a service several weeks ago and during the work I notified the owner that the lid of the airbox was very badly broken and it was letting in dust etc. Had to order a complete new airbox as they dont just sell the lid and wait... for it to arrive from England. Not a bad job to replace, just remove the seat, sidecovers, battery and tray, rear mudguard and rear wheel to get it out and back in again. Whew! Anyhow, job done and the owner can now ride with the knowledge that his engine is no longer ingesting dirt and bugs. Also had another classic booked into the workshop this week. A 1976 Suzuki GT 750. Nice original bike that hasnt been butchered in any way. Its in to investigate an overly oily right hand cylinder and to give her a tune up and carby balance. Lovely old thing.

08.01.2022 Set up at Morgan Park. Very breezy and a little bit cool here at the moment.

08.01.2022 With the recent "lockdown" and the reduced workload coming into the shop, I have been able to restart work on a minor restoration job that has been sitting around for a while. This Z50J1 came in to the workshop, looking very old and abused with a request to "get it going and fix the dents in the fuel tank". The bike had sat for years in a shed so even though I tried to clean the carburettor with the ultrasonic cleaner, it was to no avail. A new carb was available from Honda t...hough, so on one went. Engine fired up and actually ran OK. I then sent the fuel tank off to be repaired and repainted. Even though this cost a LOT!, it was worth it, and when the owner saw the result, he decided that maybe the old bike could use some more work. So, after a total strip down, the frame, swingarm and sundry other bits were blasted clean and repainted in the original satin black. The owner had already purchased a new seat for the bike, so along with some reproduction parts I have started the reassembly. All new bearings, new shock absorbers, new wheel rims, new rubbers and a bunch of new bolts etc and she is starting to come back together. Should be a beauty when I get it finished. See more

07.01.2022 If another piece of "technology" goes back to the stone age today, Im just going to go home. No mobile phone due to some "technology" issue that cant be resolved. If anyone needs to talk to me youll have to use my "landline" over the fantastically unreliable NBN network and hope it stays working for today. 02 5355 3003

05.01.2022 Its great to be able to help a customer with the purchase of a new vehicle. Its especially great when the machine is as good as the Crossfire X400 quad. Just delivered this beauty to its new owner this morning. Excellent choice for the farm or for recreational use it is one of the few machines rated for a pillion passenger. Call in for more information on this model and for pricing on the complete Crossfire range.

05.01.2022 This season is going to be the biggest yet. 4 riders and at least 4 bikes in the 300 Supersport class of the ASBK. Yes, all the bikes have been built by me and are tuned, fettled and looked after by me at the races. Catch all of our progress this year on the ASBK pages or on TV.

03.01.2022 I have taken the decision, due to a lack of business activity, to no longer open the shop on Saturdays. Sorry if this causes any inconvenience but it just isnt economic to waste fuel and time for no return.

03.01.2022 While the Big 4 Japanese makes plus Polaris have already given up on the Australian quad bike market, Crossfire is going all out to achieve compliance with the new rules for quads. For all you farmers out there in the district, I suppose you have 2 options. Buy up as many new Hondas or Yamahas as you can get before theyre gone for good, or buy a Crossfire whenever you need one. Call in for a brochure on the 400 or 500GT quads, or for a quote on any of the range of Crossfire quads or UTVs.

01.01.2022 The ASBK season has now come to an end and some of you may be aware that I built and maintained the bikes for Proworx Racing. These bikes have been not only reliable, but fast and competitive as well. For any rider or parent that is looking towards the 2020 ASBK SSP300 Class, I am offering packages using the Kawasaki Ninja 400, either built using a bike supplied by the client or I can supply a new bike for the donor. Package prices will vary, depending on the donor bike used..., but will range between $13,000 and $19,000 for a turn key package. The bike will belong to you and you may choose either to have it maintained between race meetings by Blayney Motorcycles or your own mechanic. Bikes will be built to an identical spec to the ones that we use. Please contact me in the first instance by mobile phone if you are interested. 01.01.2022 Having a run on Triumphs lately. Last week a Bonneville Speedmaster in for new tyres a full service and to get it running right. Turned out it needed a new airbox which I have had to order for the owner. Might be here in a couple of weeks. This week its a 1050 Tiger Sport for a service, new rear tyre, new brake pads all round and a new chain and sprocket set. I would be prepared to wager that today is the first time in the bikes life that the cam cover has been removed and the valve clearances checked as the cover was glued in place a-la-factory sealed. Oh well, at least they were all OK.
