We already have an excursion locked in for a Lee Hostel visit this will be the first of many with the pre school room and the butterfly room will be going on an excursion to the library for some stories with the community.

13.01.2022 Superhero Week 2020 We have had the best time dressing up as Superheroes while raising money for Bear Cottage. Bear Cottage provides support, respite and end-of-life care to children with life-limiting illnesses and their families. A big thank you to everybody that participated and donated. This year Blayney Early Learners has raised $262. If you still want to donate, please follow this link https://www.superheroweek.com.au//j/blayney-early-learners

13.01.2022 Today we went to Lee Hostel for our first visit of the year. The children and residents enjoyed playing dress ups with all of the different props. Once we were all dressed up we all joined in with the Hokey Pokey and there was lots of laughing and applause as each body part went in. We can't wait to return next month!

12.01.2022 Happy Early Childhood Educator's Day 2020 Today is a day where we can say thank you to our amazing educators for making a difference to the lives of the children we get to teach and care for.

05.01.2022 Our children have been missing our regular visits to Lee Hostel so we have been busy making cards for each of the residents. We went for a walk to the Post Office to send them off. A few days later we heard a horn from outside and went and saw all of the residents in the bus outside the centre, waiting for us to give us a wave. We are so glad we can still connect with the Residents of Lee Hostel in a small way.

04.01.2022 27th May to 3rd June was Reconciliation Week. At Blayney Early Learners we incorporated several experiences into our program as well as plenty of discussion time. We made lemon myrtle damper for afternoon tea each day in both the 0-3years room and 3-5years room as well as making sure we did our acknowledgement each day this happens each and every day at out centre. The children in the Butterfly Room used earthy coloured paints at the easels and read lots of dreamtime storie...s, how the birds got their colours was the favourite. In the Preschool Room the children had wooden circles with aboriginal symbols on them which the children drew in the sand and made up stories. The preschool children also read lots of dreamtime stories and used white boards to copy aboriginal symbols. We had lots of discussions about the Aboriginal flag and the Wiradjuri people. #InThisTogether #ReconciliationAustralia See more
