25.01.2022 Blayney players may not be aware that Lithgow player Roy Barlow passed away a couple of weeks ago. His funeral is on tomorrow but due to Covid-19 restrictions attendance is only by invitation. However the service will be live-streamed. Details are included below. In addition to playing at Lithgow, Roy regularly played in the annual Central West Championships held at Blayney. He and a number of other enthusiastic Lithgow players also used to regularly travel to Bathurst to ...play. 13.01.2022 For the first time in the event's 10 year history the results of the Central West Round Robin have been posted on Ratings Central. Players can see their results at https://www.ratingscentral.com/EventDetail.php Quite a few players in this event did not previously have a rating. Now they do! This rating will provide them with a benchmark and some objectives to aim for (including beating players on a higher rating!)... Thanks to Douglas Flood for suggesting the results be entered and then taking on the job of entering them.

12.01.2022 PLAY AT BLAYNEY TABLE TENNIS SUSPENDED IN RESPONSE TO CORONAVIRUS CONTROL REQUIREMENTS Dear players, I regret to inform you that Thursday night table tennis at Blayney Table Tennis has been suspended until further notice. This is in response to the COVID-19 outbreak and the measures being taken to reduce its spread. Please see below an excerpt from a recent circular distributed by Table Tennis Australia in relation to this matter.... Don’t forget to stay physically active, train at home if you can, get pointers from coaching websites etc and keep in touch. Stay healthy! TTA message: CLUB/ASSOCIATION ACTIVITIES SUSPENDED The Federal Government announced stricter measures on Sunday 22 March 2020 in relation to closures related to COVID-19. In particular, from midday today, Monday 23 March 2020 onwards, indoors sports facilities are required to close. TTA requests that all clubs/associations take immediate action to follow the Federal Government requirements and cease operating until further notice. TTA has also suspended all National Squad training sessions until further notice.

Andrew played very successfully at our most recent round robin championship at Blayney last November. Alena Fallon is putting together a tribute for Andrew's parents and for his funeral. 02.01.2022 Well TT fans it may not be too long before the wait is over. The TTNSW Office sent out the following today: I am also pleased to advise that we have applied to the State government to allow table tennis to be resumed in its entirety. This application, along with those of other sports, is now in the Government decision making area but, given the thrust from sports to return, I am hopeful of an early acceptance. We will continue to keep you informed of news as it occurs... Let’s hope that we are able to safely resume soon!
