22.01.2022 BlazeAid volunteers are the best We loved having Kate & Mike on our team... Can't wait to have them back.
20.01.2022 BlazeAid has Covid protocols in place to protect our volunteers & the vulnerable communities we serve.
14.01.2022 We are still looking for volunteer cook/kitchen hands to join our team! We are in urgent need of a couple of cooks, or a cook & kitchen hand/s, to keep our hungry teams of fencers fed. We need volunteer/s with a capacity & passion to cook for a varying number of people (maybe as few as 8, or up to 40, currently average about 20); an understanding & preferably training in safe food handling; ability to cook a range of foods, including vegetarian dishes & (simple) dessert...s. You will need to be adaptable to fulfil this role; we do not have a 3 star commercial kitchen or access to all of the mod-cons; you will need to be able to take direction & work as part of a team. Full board and accommodation is provided at camp. BlazeAid Cobargo camp will be operating in the lovely little Far South Coast community of Cobargo until the end of August. Come join our team helping this fire-affected community rebuild their fences For backpackers, volunteering for BlazeAid will count towards your 1st or 2nd year Working Holiday Visa. Please call the coordinator Jude if you are interested: 0477 147 706 or email: [email protected] See more
12.01.2022 This week our self-described "shearers' cook" Julie from Braidwood was joined by super-keen vegan cook Sarah from Cranbrook B.C. Booyah!!! The results have been colourful, delicious & fun. We love to support our local suppliers - tonight's lovingly prepared spread features meat from Benny's Butchery & fresh produce from Cobargo General Store (& of course beers from our favourite watering hole - the Cobargo Hotel)
09.01.2022 "Am I ever gonna see your face again? " They came for a week, stayed for 3, & as is the BlazeAid way, took our team & the people of Cobargo into their hearts. We will miss their enthusiasm around the camp: always up for a beer, a song, a dance, a game, a bit of fun.... & even a bit of fencing! We wish them safe adventures, & we're sure we'll see Katrina and "Cobargo Aidan" again .... #cobargostrong #blazeaidfamily See more

05.01.2022 It's our first birthday and Maddy made us a cake Exactly one year ago today BlazeAid set up camp in Cobargo to help this fire-affected community rebuild fences. 12 months on we are still here and going strong. That is the longest BlazeAid has supported a community after a natural disaster. Tonight we are having a little celebration at camp in recognition of the efforts of the 560 volunteers that have contributed to this effort. .... Edit: BlazeAid Macksville on the NSW north coast also going strong since Nov. 2019 . Maddy O'Connor See more
