15.01.2022 Today would have marked the official opening of our 2020 festival. In case you missed the announcement, due to the impact of COVID19 we've postponed the festival to later in the year. We are looking forward to celebrating 11 days of contemporary art, culture and place. Stay connected with us as we reimagine our festival program for November. Save the date by nominating your interest in the facebook event calendar! Full program announced early October.

Coupled with new research from the Australia Council, showing nearly every Australian 98% of us engage with arts and culture, this is part of our reflection today. An increasing majority of Australians acknowledge the positive impacts of arts and creativity on our lives and our communities (84% up from 75% in 2016), particularly in social cohesion, health, education and the future economy critical areas as our nation recovers from the impact of COVID-19.

If this sounds like you, we are currently recruiting for a fabulous team of 2020 festival BLEACH* Ambassadors. Some lifting and other walking tasks will be part of the role including standing for periods of time. Our Festival has a COVID Safe Plan and will be operating under this guideline. We're so pleased to be able to present our festival under an approved COVID safe plan.... Queensland performance company @evbodynow have launched the 2020 edition Gran Slam - a Slam Poetry project for bold Seniors. They are calling on wordsmiths of wisdom, 70 years and over who are ready to step up to the soapbox and try something new. Through a series of online workshops you will learn how to write and perform slam poetry to move and inspire under the guidance of slam poetry legend and experienced... facilitators Luka Lesson (QLD) and Sarah Temporal (NSW).
