A trip to Sydney, surgery, flight to Brisbane, 2 whole weeks in quarantine, flight back to mackay and a little over 3 weeks away from these ratbags we can say we are home sweet home! 07.01.2022 Day 3..... Well today started quite as usual. We finally got 20 mins outside time after mum had a little tantrum she had a dream last night that the aircon was sucking all the fresh air out of the room. This experience is like no other. You can say it over and over and try and prepare yourself but it’s an experience that I hope we never have to do again. I feel like we are holding it together pretty well. ... My ankle this time around feels so different I find myself in weird positions and it doesn’t hurt I get so emotional when I think of having a life woth no pain. So I’m in a moon boot but only when I’m up and about otherwise I don’t have to shower with it on I don’t have to sleep with it, it just feels so different if this is what the team can do already I can wait until my replacement lucky it’s not my first rodeo and taking out my own stitches is not a first. I have started to reduce my pain meds and in the photo all the little white ones are left over endone that I haven’t taken over the last few days the withdrawals have started but it will be worth it! Stay safe and suck in all the fresh air you can and hold your babies tight be grateful and if you haven’t told someone you love them lately do it!!!!! Edit; a lot have Been asking how my boys are dealing they are amazing I seriously can’t believe how well they are dealing. They are happy and safe with their amazing daddy and having a lot of fun. They do have little moments and have ring to see mummy but all round they are doing great.
