We can help put together the best option for the window furnishings for your new home. Getting in early has heaps of benefits for you. It means we can identify any potential fitting issues, which you may then be able to work through with your builder (I’m thinking about you bulkheads!), it gives you plenty of time to plan for the cost of your window furnishings and be...st of all, getting in early usually means we can have everything ready to be installed on settlement day. 07.01.2022 CAN WE HELP YOU? | This is a pic of me and my hubby Tim (I’m Kate). We’re the owners of Blind Ambition. We are a little bit camera shy, so you probably haven’t seen us on here before! It’s gonna get tough for small businesses like ours in the weeks and months ahead. I just want to let you know that we’re still here, plugging away and would love to get to work for you!... A big part of my work at Blind Ambition is face to face & working with people in their own homes. I love this part of my job meeting wonderful people (and often their pets) every day You wonderful people who choose to let us help you decorate your homes are the lifeblood of our little business and we appreciate each and every one of you. I get that we are all feeling anxious about the future and our health & safety at this turbulent time. Rest assured that if you come into our shop or I come into your home, we are all committed to practicing social distancing & the recommended hygiene practices when it comes to wiping down surfaces and keeping our hands sparkling clean. We actually don’t even need to get together in person to get started either. Working from floorplans & detailed chats over the phone or even via email is something we do every day. We can even arrange for cutting and samples to be sent to you directly from many of our fabric suppliers. We’d so love to hear from you if you have a build or reno on the go. 03.01.2022 THANKS SO MUCH | This pandemic and lockdown has been by far the most challenging and stressful time for our small business. Even though there has been so much uncertainty for all of us in so many ways, it’s been really wonderful to have your support.... Although our shop has been closed and our cars off the road we have kept working through from home and have been kept so much busier that we thought we would be! I honestly was expecting that once we closed the doors at the beginning of August that everything would grind to a halt. Thank you so much to those of you who still placed orders with us, even knowing that there would be delays. Thank you for being nothing but supportive and patient when we’ve sent you yet another update after one of Dan Andrews’ Sunday press conferences where he’s told us again that we need to wait a bit longer before opening. We’ve held our breath each time we’ve hit send, but have had nothing other than emails of support and understanding back. It’s honestly blown us away. Thank you. Thanks to everyone who has called up to book in a quote and is happy to wait to be contacted when we know we are permitted to get back out and about. Especially those of you in regional Victoria who could look elsewhere but have chosen to wait for us. Thanks for sending your floorplans to us and for chatting back and forward on the emails. Behind the scenes, I’m also really thankful that many of our suppliers could keep operating. You should see how packed our factory is with orders ready to be installed. Let us out! It’s feeling like we are so close to the end of this lockdown now. We can’t wait to be allowed to get out and about again and will be ready to go when we can! I have more of a kitchen table/powerboard aesthetic going on I just wanted to pop in to say hi and thank you so much for your continued support and understanding through this very challenging time. The Stage 4 lockdown has meant that we’ve had to close the doors to our showroom and factory and have had also had to stop coming to into homes to measure up and cook up grand plans with you for your window furnishings. We’ve also had to ...postpone all of our installations. Even though our shop is closed, Angela & I are all set up to work from our homes. We are just hanging around waiting to help. Even though we aren’t permitted to be at the factory to continue making our soft furnishings, many of our suppliers are able to continue operating. If you have been meaning to order those roller blinds, venetians or plantation shutters we talked about a while ago, give us a yell and we can get your order moving. We can still get production underway on many items so that they are either close to completion or ready to be installed after the stage 4 restrictions are lifted. We are doing everything we can in the background to be ready and raring to go just as soon as these restrictions are lifted.
