20.01.2022 This album contains a sample of completed leads done for customers or myself. All my leads are hand crafted to order using only quality kangaroo leather, either hand cut by myself or sourced from one of Australia's Leather-craft shops. Nylon, leather or synthetic cord cores are used to add strength and reduce stretch. Studies conduced by CSIRO have shown that kangaroo leather is one of the strongest leathers, retaining considerably more of the original tensile strength when... split to 20% of the original thickness. Kangaroo leather retains between 30% and 60% of the tensile strength of the unsplit hide compared to cow which only retains 1-4% of its original strength. To determine quality, all braiding should be done tight from the start. All my leads are braided tight with each strand bevelled to ensure each strand sits flat and the ends are spliced and glued to ensure they will not unravel with use. Once you see and try one of my leads, you will see the quality and work that goes into every handcrafted lead.
