23.01.2022 When starting up Blissed Out Mums 6 years ago, this was the first thing I created for you. Relaxation has and always will be a cornerstone of everything here. Take steps to control your stress will benefit you and your kids - even if you have no other behaviour management strategies. The recording has been updated a few times and is still available 100% free on my website... and only takes 90 seconds!
20.01.2022 Christmas is all different this year, for many of us. My mother has been in hospital and after the latest Covid outbreak in Sydney, it has shut down and I am unable to visit. Who knows when I’ll be able to. While I don’t usually do much on Christmas Day with her, tomorrow on Boxing Day is the Lindsay family get together, which of course is now not happening.... So I miss my mum. And I’m grumpy because of it. Trying not to let it take it away from the joy for my children. And remembering these very wise words, that things may be cancelled, by love is never cancelled. I hope that wherever you are and whatever you’re doing this holiday you are surrounded by love.
17.01.2022 How do you feel as your child needs you less? It is totally okay to be happy, excited, sad, angry or feel lost - sometimes all at once.
17.01.2022 You have a story. I have a story. Your story isn’t mine, and mine isn’t yours. Behind what we see maybe something completely different than what we think.... Let’s make 2021 the year of no judgment on mums! Life’s challenging enough at the moment without the pressure and judgement we place upon ourselves and each other.
16.01.2022 I love a good laugh and gender and toys and the ridiculous about it all.... but of all the examples I have I ever seen.... Photo Credit: Bored Panda

15.01.2022 Forgive yourself mumma! You deserve it! No-one's a perfect parent. We all muck up. The worst punishment? Holding onto the past and letting it impact today.

14.01.2022 Arguing with my daughter is not fun, but I do know that she's set up for questioning the world!

12.01.2022 I talk about changing your perception a lot here at Blissed Out Mums. Sometimes the simplest shift in the way we look at our kids or with the struggles we face with them can change our whole experience. Changing our perception is not to say that we have been thinking about it "wrong", just to try to look at something through a different lens. ... As Einstein said, the cause of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting a different outcome. If we keep looking at a problem we're having with our kids in the same way, then we're only going to have that same problem. If we can change the lens, change our perception for even a short period of time then it can help us see it differently and in turn respond differently.
11.01.2022 Have you listened to this? I’m thinking of updating it. Would you be interested in a whole series of mini meditations? Perfect for downloading to your phone!
11.01.2022 Motherhood sure takes a lot of strength... You're stronger than you this mumma!
11.01.2022 Difficult question... What’s it like to be on the receiving end of you?Difficult question... What’s it like to be on the receiving end of you?
10.01.2022 It's hard to stay calm... especially when you're being pushed to your limits, perhaps tired, hungry and craving some time just for you. You won't always be calm. You'll yell and snap and that's okay. There is NO such thing as a perfect parent. What we can do is remind ourselves that doing our best to stay calm, taking a few deep breaths, reminding ourselves of the type of mum we want to be... or even taking ourselves away to have some space.... Fosters connection with our k...ids. And they want and need connection more than anything.
10.01.2022 There is no such thing as the perfect parent. Striving to do our best means celebrating when we act the way we want to... and forgiving ourselves when we don't.
09.01.2022 My 5 C's Process for gentle discipline.. follow a framework, be consistent and not only will it become second nature, it'll help your kids too!
09.01.2022 Parents, YOU are the intervention; connection, attunement, and empathy. This is where are children feel seen and heard this is what makes healthy little humans.
08.01.2022 I shared this with a mum who got in contact with me asking for some advice.... play... is there anything it can’t do??
07.01.2022 Hint! It’s not perfect parenting!

03.01.2022 Family time isn’t always sunshine and lollipops. So what do you do if you’re not just into it but your stuck at home with the kids?
03.01.2022 I really get f’ing sick and tired of seeing posts like this! As long as our kids are fed and eat it does it matter whether it’s a Pinterest lunch with pretty styled food, or the simple basic sandwich fruit and a pack of cookies (which is what my girls get!) If you want to do fancy lunches, then go for gold.... But if you don’t, and all you want to do is pack something that your kids eat then your shouldn’t be shamed al over social media or in this case have your food labeled paedo food https://www.news.com.au///f5c73508ae9a674ecf817ac1c8020f54
02.01.2022 How do you feel if you say this to yourself?
