Forgiveness does not mean forgetting, nor does it mean condoning or excusing any offenses. Forgiveness is mostly associated with what has happened in the past which definitely helps a person move forward. Yet forgiving into the future is even more important than ever before in our lifetime. As Jesus said (Luke 23:34) "Father, forgive them, for they don't know what they are doing." Even if they know what they are doing, I do believe forgiveness can 1. Weaken the harm created for the future, and 2. 06.01.2022 Depending on our believes, we can either do nothing and wait for the arrival of the new year, the year of the Metal Ox and hope that things will be better than 2020, or we can do whatever is in our power to make it the best year starting right now. The energy of 2021 is already active in many ways and as the saying goes, it is never too early and seldom too late to take actions. It is however a personal choice, so no right or wrong.
