24.01.2022 What are your thoughts like? What do you think about yourself? So often we think we are the sum of our thoughts -->I am an anxious person. I am a victim. I am not enough. I am guilty. And we then live with that label as our identity. We become what we think. Change the way you think about yourself and you will change the way you are.

14.01.2022 A major part of mindfulness & meditation is acceptance: the non-judgemental attitude toward what we sense, feel, think, etc, in that given moment. In acceptance we don't consider our thoughts or emotions as good or bad, they simply 'are'. We accept ourself as we are in the now. So often we're our own worst critic. We can be so quick to feel at odds with how we're feeling or thinking. We're not satisfied with our internal world and want to change. All. The. Time. Imagine the peace if you could learn to practise acceptance instead? To truly accept yourself, your thoughts and your response. This practise really does bring about true wellbeing and deep peace. Try it now. Pause. Notice. Accept. This is me. This is OK. See it as an exercise in self-compassion.

12.01.2022 Mindful Monday: Living in the present really does bring peace. Focus on today. Today only. You can't change the past and tomorrow has enough problems. Stay in the now.

10.01.2022 Some weeks are crazy. Some times they are more then we think we can bear. Getting up each day and reminding yourself that "you CAN do today" and thinking only of today will remove loads of worry & stress. Just do today. You've got this! Today is possible. Today.

04.01.2022 Do you enjoy your own company? If not, why do you think that is? This statement gives food for thought - are you rich or poor of self? I love being on my own. I love time to simply 'be', to enjoy the space of solitude. When I was in my teens I didn't quite understand the richness of solitude, I so often felt incredibly lonely. I'm grateful that through the years this loneliness shifted and I began to long for time alone. Solitude really is a gift and I hope it's one that you enjoy too.
