14.01.2022 Champion diver Loudy Wiggins joins Blisterproof as Ambassador Olympic and Commonwealth Games diving medallist, Loudy Wiggins has accepted the role of Ambassador for Blisterproof, a Victorian company that has created a revolutionary adhesive plaster product for blister prevention and treatment. Loudy, who now runs her own successful personal training business in Moonee Ponds, recognises the need for blister sufferers to be helped to allow them to continue to train, exercise an...d compete. Loudy’s diving career spanned from 1991 2012. She is a four time Olympian, dual Olympic Medallist, three-time World Championship Silver medallist and triple Commonwealth Games Champion and has won over 15 National Titles she also recently commentated the Rio Olympic Games for Channel Seven. Commenting on her appointment as Ambassador to Blisterproof, Loudy said, Anyone training or playing a sport who suffers from blisters will have their performance restricted not only with a blister, but also during the recovery phase. They can be painful and slow to heal. What appealed to me about the Blisterproof range is the product’s ability to prevent a blister from forming or if one has already started, arrest the development of the blister and help the healing process, she said. The Blisterproof range is specifically shaped for use on the hands and feet where blisters are common. She said, We often think of blisters being a heel condition, but many suffer from them on the soles of their feet, their toes and hands. Female rowers are particularly at risk of blisters as are many sports people at the start of their season when new shoes are first worn. Blisterproof was invented by former Carlton AFL Head Trainer, Ray Spiteri who tired of being at the wrath of coaches for not being able to prevent or treat blisters with the treatments that were available before Blisterproof. Ray said, With all the necessary patents and approvals in place, Blisterproof is now ready to help blister sufferers whether caused by a sporting or work-related reason. In the lead up to securing Loudy as our Ambassador, we tested the product extensively among male and female sports people as well as labourers whose hands and feet are always under stress, he said.
