24.01.2022 Proposed changes to Vic OHS legislation - The Victorian Government introduced the Occupational Health and Safety and Other Legislation Amendment Bill 2021 (the bill) to parliament last month. If the bill is passed, changes to OHS laws in Victoria will include: *Improving the rights and protections for labour hire workers by making it clear that host organisations owe health and safety obligations to their labour hire workers.... *Prohibiting contracts that insure or indemnify a person against paying monetary penalties under workplace safety laws *Giving Health and Safety Representatives and Authorised Employee Representatives new powers to take photographs, measurements, sketches and recordings when they act under the Occupational Health and Safety Act 2004 (Vic) *Allowing WorkSafe inspectors to deliver notices and reports electronically, and *Simplifying procedures for disposing of or destroying property which has been seized by WorkSafe, where the owner of the property doesn’t want or need the property returned. #blmanagementconsultants

17.01.2022 If your waiting for your turn to speak, your not listening. I love this quote from The Gottman Institute. So many people focus on their own opinion and what they’ve got to say resulting in interrupting and not being present with what the other person is actually saying. Listen to hear and understand and maybe there would be less conflict and certainly more respect.

17.01.2022 National Safety Month has launched. Expecting to experience different things this year (including the delivery).

16.01.2022 Great short podcast to listen to within this article about the reviews into the NSW and VIC workers compensation schemes.

12.01.2022 Coroner stats regarding suicide in Victoria and false messages circulating during the pandemic. Please remember with statistics, suicide is only determined when it is clear and there is evidence. Single motor vehicle Accidents and other accidents are often not included in these Stats. And these are only the deaths from suicide in Victoria.

06.01.2022 There appears to be an idea that psychological safety is about being nice all the time and a limited understanding of how it can bring tangible and quantifiable benefits to a business. As a certified Psychological Safety practitioner, I am interested to hear how workplaces create psychological safety. There is so much to gain (and so much to loose if you don't have it). What are some things your workplaces practice?... #psychologicalsafety #blmanagementconsultants #mentalhealth #leaderfactor

06.01.2022 What a great free program particularly important during working from home when we may not be as mindful or active as we are in offices with others around.

03.01.2022 Applications are now open for the NSW Government’s Greater Cities and Regional Sport Facility Fund to create and upgrade sport facilities. I am encouraging all ...eligible clubs to apply. I’m especially passionate about the focus on increasing and improving change room facilities for girls and women so they have their own comfortable environment for playing sport and therefore stay playing sport. Applications close 26 February 2021: https://www.sport.nsw.gov.au/clubs/grants
