25.01.2022 I believe if you want to participate message them and it may involve a story and some pics for Australian producers and breeders because of time difference.

23.01.2022 Congratulations to all concerned as we see these two young animals head off to Thailand to represent our great breed offshore. Well done Willroy and Wait-A-Wyle studs in Queensland.

22.01.2022 Waite A Wyle Queenslander continues to impress in Thailand, taking Blondes to the world

21.01.2022 Another one from the archives and this time we know all about him so give it your best shot at identifying him or claiming him if he is yours. He has obviously been a star in the show ring too. i

20.01.2022 Just a reminder that the closing date for nominations is in a week, 30/6/20.

20.01.2022 NOMINATIONS ARE NOW CLOSED Congratulations to our members for their support of the Blonde Society of Australia and New Zealand 2020Benchmarking Program. We’ve had a fantastic response with 29 bulls nominated. The nominated Sires have been bred by or are owned by the following herds: Amaroo, Corolin, Craigie Park, Meridan, Monal, Prospect Hill, Rahnik, Rathdowney, Renard, Uranongo, Weeronga, and Willroy. We’ve got younger and older Sires nominated, with a huge range of genetics and traits, with some having EBVs and some without. Our next step is choosing the successful Benchmarking Sires from our extensive list. Breedplan will be our primary guide in this tough endeavour. We look forward to announcing the Sires chosen for this inaugural Benchmarking Program.

17.01.2022 Renard are very happy with our 2020 "R" calves by various poll bulls. Some great cow and calf units are on offer now. Call 0419721881 or message Ian Fox.

15.01.2022 A recent post showed a Blonde Bull covering a herd of commercial Charolais, but Blonde cattle have been winning favour when included in cross breeding programs for a long time. The Blondes have a way of stamping their strong characteristics over other breeds i.e. finer bone and higher yield, outstanding carcass traits and ease of calving. Blonde infused cattle excel at prestigious carcass competitions and once tried many beef breeders make the business decision to have them prominent in their commercial herds. What success stories do you have ? If you have a photo love to see it too.

12.01.2022 Well here is another bull we have dug out of the archives. He is a great example of our tag line "muscle where it matters". Who can claim him, name him ??

12.01.2022 Limpinwood blondes display the most amazing photos on their both Instagram and Facebook sites. It’s either Darren or Jen who is our amazing photographer. Does everyone agree how special these photos are ? And they feature the amazing blonde breed as a bonus

11.01.2022 A bit cheeky but I found this one in old Facebook posts back a few years but not that many . Ann has used many great stud sires at Uranongo Blondes and this boy impressed Ian fox and I when we saw him in WA. We have used a few straws in the past and present AI programs and a little bull in this year’s crop of calves is looking very impressive. It’s not the best photo of the bull himself but a photo those who have shown cattle can all relate to I.e that amazing bond you develop with the animals themselves and this boy’s temp is the epitomy of docility. So who is he ? Ann I am sure will put up a photo when we all have a go at guessing that will do him justice .

11.01.2022 This little lady sired by Blackwater Ainsley is shaping up to follow in her mothers hoof steps. Francille Lucinda was Grand Champion Blonde d'Aquitaine Female in 2012 at the Royal Melbourne Show. Here's hoping little "Lucy" has success in 2021.

11.01.2022 Keep an eye on the British Blondes FB page for a show case of "The Best of British Blondes" with their virtual on farm Shows.

09.01.2022 Back to our bulls! This fellow was showing promise early in his show and stud career and not all that long ago. I am sure many of you will be able to identify him.

08.01.2022 Blonde d’Aquitaine cattle have a reputation globally as adding value to any beef cattle operation. Here is a photo of a past society field day in the UK posted by Duncombe Doncombe Blondes

07.01.2022 This is indeed a great achievement for Rudi and Loree Spiteri of Rahnik Blonde and Black cattle

06.01.2022 So many stars from years gone by that have contributed to the breed's current genetics. Blonde d'Aquitaine cattle add amazing carcass traits to any herd of any breed. Here is another all time favourite. Our last bull Willroy Viacon won awards at Beef and his photo was submitted to Blonde Connection 2003.

04.01.2022 There is no mistaking the Blonde Bull in this group of commercial Charolais taken southern Victoria. Blonde breeders would not be surprised but there are also other misconceptions that our Blonde bulls are terminal sires only, our females are not maternal and a mix with a breed like Charloais would just be "too big". When you scroll through the web, you will also find comments like "we have put Blonde bulls over our Charolais heifers for years" because of "easier calving (smaller lighter good shaped calves) and it worked well. We have calved hundreds of them and it worked well for over 20 years" Other comments mentioned crosses with other breeds that worked well because of "Milk, meat and good dispositions" Another comment "great demand from butchers because they yield so well" (www.cattletoday.com) What are your thoughts ???

04.01.2022 A new polled bull that breeders may be interested in.

01.01.2022 The Blondes have done well at the recent Yea sale. Blonde/Black Simmental 50/50 cross were equal toppers in the market with 2yo heifers and calves at foot. $3150 per unit Our young yearling cross heifers were snapped up at $1750 each and 7 older cows (av age 7) with calves were $2750 a unit. We are also finding cull cows are still making good money at @5.75 per kg carcase.
