23.01.2022 Hi all just been down talking to Troy at Tradeys, the mob that do our uniform/vest and we talked about how Tradeys might support Bloodbikes Australia. They are not a big corporation but they do a great job so from now on Tradeys will have free shipping on all our uniform/vest anywhere in Australia. Considering that they only charge around $30 for embroidered vest and postage can be up to $10 this is great support for Bloodbikes Australia from a small private company.... Thanks Troy and Tradeys. https://www.facebook.com/tradeys.com.au/ So if you need protective gear or work wear, ring Tradeys 07 3809 2211, or go to there web site. Tell them your a Bloodbikes Australia Volunteer and Troy will look after you. https://www.tradeys.com.au/

05.01.2022 Hey all, a memory just came up on Facebook that reminded me that on the 4 of September just gone Bloodbikes Australia turned 1 year old. I missed it so thanks to Facebook. From just me working for Mater Pathology in Brisbane:- . we have grown to 126 volunteers in all states and the ACT . we have 51 fully qualified volunteers with Certificate in Blood Transport and ready for action, ... . we now volunteer for healthcare providers in Brisbane, Gold Coast and in Sydney . we are in the final phases of engaging with further healthcare providers in ACT, Melbourne, country NSW, Gold Coast and Sunshine Coast. In the last 12 months:- . we have transported urgent Blood from hospital to hospital for surgery and cancer treatment, . we have transported biopsy kits for research in disease cures, . we have transported samples for clinical trial programs . we have transported COVID tests from test location to laboratories for analysis. Not bad for 12 months hey In the next 12 months we will launch a web site, expand the number of healthcare providers we volunteer for to include more cities and regional Australia and continue to welcome, train and induct volunteers. Most important we will continue with our core values:- 1. We are neither an organisation or a charity but a group of independent volunteers operating as Bloodbikes Australia, agreeing to a common commitment statement which is our contract with each other and the healthcare providers for whom we volunteer. 2. We are not front line, we do not want to take anyones job, we want to continue to offer a last resort for the healthcare providers for whom we volunteer. 3. We are not an emergency service and we abide by all road rules and conduct ourselves with courtesy to everyone we come in contact with as Bloodbikes Australia Volunteers. 4. We will continue to volunteer our time, our motorcycles, our fuel, our tolls and all our expenses so we do not require any funding. These are the basic principles that are now and will continue to be the foundations of a Bloodbikes Australia and thanks to all our supporters, healthcare providers for whom we volunteer, media supporters and all our volunteers. From little things big things grow

04.01.2022 I am guessing you know I am Peter Davis, Founder of Bloodbikes Australia, and I look after the Facebook page. I just wanted to send a shout out to all the Bloodbikes Australia Volunteers. A lot of you are in the process of getting all you bits and peaces together and to you I say you are on the list and are not forgotten. To those of you who are all ready to go, uniform, certificate and storage we are working on getting healthcare providers to work for in all areas of Austral...ia. We have a video conference with the Red Cross Bloodbank Logistics people Nationally to communicate our last resort ethos and how we might be useful to them Nationally. Furthermore in Queensland we are meeting with Mater Mothers to bring breast milk Transport into our portfolio. We are actively in conversation with health services in NW NSW, Pathology in NSW health department, Gold Coast Hospital, Sunshine Coast Hospital, Canberra Hospital and Cabrini Hospital in Melbourne. I know a lot of you have been waiting for a long time to get into action but I wanted to assure you you are not forgotten, you are on the master list and I, along with other volunteers like me and you, are working to get healthcare providers on board and communicating to them where we can help. In this context if you have a contact or connection with a healthcare provider then let me know and I can send you an introduction package for them and we can work together communicating what service Bloodbikes Australia offers. Thanks for your patience one and all, we are now up to 133 volunteers Australia wide.

02.01.2022 Well on this day 12 months ago, when Bloodbikes Australia was just me, I did my very first blood run as a Bloodbikes Australia Volunteer, for Mater Pathology from the Mater Bloodbank at South Brisbane to Mater Redlands. We have now done more than 100 deliveries of, Blood, biopsies, Clinical Trial samples, stem cells, COVID samples, consumables, for healthcare providers in Brisbane, Gold Coast and Sydney. Cant wait to bring on line all our volunteers wherever they are and work for healthcare provides in all capital cities and regional Australia. I believe it will happen soon
