25.01.2022 Introducing your next guest workshop teacher! We are so excited to have the incredible Shayne Samoley teaching an OPEN workshop on the 13th June from 4:30-6:00. The class is just $15 and is for all ages. You must pre book so make sure to send me a message to secure your spot or find out some more info. Here’s some more about your amazing teacher: Shayne comes from western Sydney originally where his training began at the age of 6 and is excited to be off...ering knowledge, experience and expertise. Training included he has been in the performing arts industry for over 30 years. He has choreographed professionally and worked with company programs such as Dance Editorial and the Locreado Dance Company. He has a passion for choreography and creating unique concepts and individual pieces for students here and overseas with a lot of his work winning national titles at Allstar National finals, Showcase and KAR here and in the USA just to name a few. A few highlights for him include choreographing the winning DOTY routine at Hollywood bound 2019 and choreographing a piece for the Youth Grand Prix finals in New York in 2017 and also having a piece win a trip to Japan to represent Australia in the Dance Delight finals and recently being nominated for best choreographer and most memorable troupe award by Get The Beat 2019. He has worked at numerous studios and continues to travel the globe with a focus that all students no matter what standard, deserve to be taught properly and technically. His passion for individual growth and understanding the process allows him to really give all students a wonderful learning experience in every single lesson which reflects in all solo and group performances he choreographs. He works as a tutor for the BBO (British Ballet Organisation) here and New Zealand and looks forward to one day being an examiner. Professionally he has owned a production business with shows for nightclubs across Sydney including Fox Studios, performed for the opening of the Titanic movie in Sydney, lead dancer for Elvis tribute show at Star City Casino, lead singer and dancer in the Grease Club Show, lead male performer for the Small Bus

13.01.2022 I am so excited for our next guest workshop! Saturday the 15th August we are holding an open commercial workshop with the incredibly talented Jess Briskie! As usual the class is open to all dancers of all ages! The class will be held from 4:30-6:00 at Five Star Dance Academy Northlakes. If numbers allow we may also split into 2 classes so please let me know if you are interested! Here’s some more about Jess ... Beginning dance at the age of 5, Jess has trained in all styles of dance. After spending a lot of time training in LA Jess really developed her own style of choreography and wanted to share it with the industry. Teaching all over Brisbane she has made a name for herself as a sort after choreographer and teacher. She encourages her students to know there is more to dance than just the steps, it’s about making an impact on those watching. See more

12.01.2022 Introducing our next workshop teacher Sam Bateson! Sam is an incredible dancer and choreographer whose work is absolutely flawless. This workshop is open to all so get your dancing friends together and come along! When: 18th July Jnr- (7+) 3:30-4:30 Snr- (13+) 4:30-6:00 Where: Five Star Dance Academy Cost: Jnr $10 Snr $15 ... Here’s some more about Sam Trained on the Gold Coast, Sam has completed his secondary education and full time training at Dynamite Studios. Here, he found a love for classical and contemporary dance, and through working with great Australian mentors and teachers, was able to explore these in depth at the studio. Sam has choreographed for & worked with some of Australia’s leading contemporary companies for young dancers, has performed with Tammy Zarb & Co., has been assistant to Travis Wall, Talia Fowler and Wil Sabin and is currently contracted to Celebrity Cruises. Sam‘s passion as a teacher is to focus in on technique; control, lines and shapes, and for dancer’s to leave class feeling both challenged and inspired.
