20.01.2022 I have been super quiet (ie slack) on Insta lately. As a wedding florist, I love that it’s seasonal and I get a few months off to catch my breath, spend more time with family, reflect, ponder and plan for the next season. I always think I’m going to have heaps of time but it slips away so quickly. I had grand plans to revamp my website and work on potential public workshops but neither have happened the last 2 months have been busy with consults and proposals and I’m s...uper excited about all the gorgeous weddings I have coming up. So many beautiful couples I’ll be working with and I can’t wait to bring their flower dreams to life starting next weekend with a wedding featuring all the beautiful shades of winter Oh, and I made some time to make some beautiful dried flower crowns for mamas to be to wear in maternity shoots captured by the super talented @_collectivephotography who captured this shot of my favourite flower crown to date (I loved it so much I wore it for an entire day before sending it off )

14.01.2022 Since arriving back in Queensland I’ve had some time off to focus on settling in to our new house and life here on the Sunshine Coast. We’ve enjoyed lots of family time and lazy days in the winter sunshine which has been really wonderful and precious. It’s only been over the last few weeks that I have turned my thoughts to my business and got serious about figuring out what direction to go in. I’ll be honest and say some days I’ve felt in a real funk. And then multiple op...portunities presented themselves to meet, connect and work with some fabulous Sunshine Coast vendors, including the super talented @lindy.photography who brought this beautiful sunset elopement shoot at Noosa Spit to life (tap to see all the other amazing vendors involved). Since then what a wonderful few weeks it’s been. I feel like it’s validation I’m treading the right path and a reminder to be patient and keep moving forward

10.01.2022 Pampas dreams Until now I’ve never had any great desire to have a bricks & mortar shop, I never wanted to commit to something that tied me down, where I couldn’t choose when & where I worked. However on coming back home to Queensland a few months ago, I felt an immediate pull to have something here in my local community. To create a botanical oasis of all things floral, dried, fresh, plants and botanical gifts. To include a small espresso bar so that people can sit aw...hile surround by beautiful things, be reenergised, a respite before going out again into this crazy world. To run workshops and invite other creatives to share their work and knowledge through workshops also. Sooooo, the hunt is on for a suitable space and in the meantime I’ve been sourcing beautiful things, dreaming, creating botanical artwork and working on an online shop. I’m no techy so creating an online store is a little slow but getting there and soon I’ll have some pieces available there. Hopefully soon I’ll have it up and running and I’ll find my dream botanical space. For now I’ll keep creating and dreaming knowing that it will all happen at exactly the time it’s meant too

07.01.2022 Winter has popped in to say hello today after the beautiful warm weather we’ve had recently, I was secretly hoping that maybe it’d be a mild one but that hope has been completely shattered. The official BOM temp says it’s currently 12.9 but with the wind factor it feels like 6.5 Ironically I feel like I’ve been in hibernation the last couple of weeks. We’ve been tackling our reno while I have a little time between weddings. The laundry is almost done with only the floor tiles to go down now. I can’t wait for it to be done! With no washer & dryer, I’ve been a laundromat regular and the dust On the plus side, the bare floor makes a beautiful backdrop for some winter buttonhole inspo
