05.01.2022 If governments could choose to keep people moving and businesses open it would be more costs effective to put one of our fever detection units in across austral...ia so everybody walking past will know if the have a high temperature and require further testing. Helping to prevent the random spread of Covid 19. Than have the doors close on so many businesses across australia. Closing businesses has caused depression, anxiety, anger, helplessness for mums, dads and children. This crisis will effect generations to come. Our children’s children will be effected. There are ways to keep the Australian economy and families together. I am always looking to solve problems. Not sit and dwell on them. It’s my mindset and always has been. I see a solution and I implement it. Simple. But spending billions on a band solution that when the bandaid is ripped off the scar gets worse for a second time. This country need support and proactive treatment. We’re a small island so it should be easy to adopt new strategies that prevent the spread. If you sign in your name at a cafe (so what) if you walk in the front door of the cafe WITH a high temperature chances are you could be a carrier. So why let people in and risk the rest of the customers. I am blown away. Coming from a background in hospital where a gown, mask and gloves were a normal day for high fevers to prevent the spread. Even for a cold there. Yet Covid 19 can freely roam in our society. Wearing a mask is not a cure but it is a good start to prevent you spreading the infection. Hand held thermometers are a good start also. But you have to get close enough to an infected person to realise that your within 1.5 metres. Most people I believe are sneaking back to work or are essential workers that have no choice but to work. They have to get close to the infection for essential work reasons or financial reason. To keep the family bills and mortgages and school fees paid. I am only seeing this problem through my own eyes and experience of being placed in hospital for a 1/3rd of my life. I have gotten sick (influenza A and whilst sitting at a cafe within a short distance of a sick person who I have caught this infection off. Then nearly dying because of it. If they had worn a mask to prevent the spread or better still not gone there It could have saved me from nearly dying. I had a temperature of 40 degrees Celsius and had t 2 choices at the Alfred hospital. Either go to ICU and be put on life support in a coma or go up to the ward 5 east on a breathing machine Bipap and seeing if I could survive up there. With a quick response from my Physio Brenda Button and doctor Prof John Wilson on a Saturday night saved my life on this occasion. I know what it feels like to struggle and don’t wish it on anyone. Regular testing even daily for us all would be a great start. If the pressure was taken away from us so we weren’t stressed about our finances then we country could get better and far more cheaply than what is currently happening. I have a fever testing machine for anyone to be tested or want more information about set up at the Chefs Hat in South Melbourne. I will be promoting this technology for small medium and large scale organisations and well as government.
