12.01.2022 YEAR 7'S - YEAR 9'S! We are excited to announce that our social skills and resilience group therapy program is heading NOR. The program is all about combining s...ocial and resilience skills within the context of sport - Hockey The aim of this program is to give children with various cognitive disabilities an opportunity to engage in therapy, while being able to access and learn a new sport! Our mission is to see these children develop new skills that may support them in all environments and even help them find engaging in sports, such as hockey, easier! Sport has many complex skills such as, communication, problem-solving, team work and resilience. It can be a challenge for many children and we want to make it achievable. Our 2 leaders for the sessions are - Senior and Mental Health endorsed Occupational Therapist Nicole Clark and Disability Inclusion Hockey coach Eve West. This is NDIS funded under group therapy provided by an allied health professional. Each child has an initial consultation and individualised goals. If you would like anymore details regarding our amazing program, please get in touch!
