22.01.2022 Take care with those endocrine (hormone) disrupting chemicals...

21.01.2022 Yes, this is one very important factor to consider when looking to boost your fertility. Please don't swap the full sugar type for diet ones, as they bring issues of their own. A tip to help you start to cut back.... buy some bottles of mineral water and start replacing every other glass of cool drink with mineral water with slices and squeezes of lime, lemon, mint, ginger or whatever helps to get that water down. Enjoy ....

19.01.2022 The why and how of Pre-Conception Heath Care. Preconception care can make a positive difference to your health and the health of your child. More and more evidence points to the fact that the way we were nourished and grew in our mothers womb can have an important impact on our health as an adult. Preconception care improves your chances of falling pregnant, having a healthy pregnancy and healthy baby, as well as aiding recovery after birth. ... So what steps can you take to improve your health and what things should you avoid? Here's some pointer for you: Enjoy a well-balanced, wholefood diet abundant in fresh vegetables (particularly dark leafy greens), good oils and fats such as avocado and fish oils, and quality sources of protein such as organic meats, free range eggs and raw nuts and seeds. Drink plenty of filtered water. Quit or cut down smoking cigarettes smoking is associated with infertility, miscarriages and low birth weight babies. Avoid caffeine - in large amounts caffeine has been shown to decrease the chances of falling pregnant. Remember coke and chocolate also contain caffeine. Avoid alcohol - Even in moderation, alcohol has been found to reduce the chances of falling pregnant. Once pregnant there has been no safe level of alcohol identified - so ideally avoid alcohol all together. Avoid medication unless recommended by your doctor (make sure that they are aware that you are trying to fall pregnant). This includes medication you can purchase over the counter. If in doubt ask the pharmacist. Avoid contact with chemicals Opt for green home cleaning products and avoid passive smoking. If you have a cat, get someone else to empty the kitty litter due to the risk of infection with toxoplasmosis. Avoid stress and practice relaxation. Regularly allow some time out for yourself. The aim of preconception care is to prepare your body for pregnancy, birth and beyond. This preparation ideally should occur for at least 4-6 months prior to trying to fall pregnant. Need help? If you are having difficulty conceiving or having repeated miscarriages you may benefit from our natural fertility appointments. If you are unsure about your situation and how I can help, you are more than welcome to give me a call or send me an email enquiry via website www.bloomfertility.com.au Enjoy the journey .... 15.01.2022 Natural Fertility Treatments As a PCOS and Fertility Naturopath I'm so fortunate to work in such an amazing field. It is truly a delight to work with so many gorgeous couples and to be part of their fertility journey. My role is to give them the advice, support and tools to really boost their chances of successful conception & pregnancy. ... It really is a dream job and so rewarding to see what we can create as a team. So I thank you all.... Did you know that 1 in 6 couples have difficulty conceiving? That's way too many. Why so much infertility? Well I guess its hard to really know, but what we do know is that is is increasing with each generation. There are a lot of factors that influence fertility from diet, to lifestyle, to chemical exposure, to work environments and schedules, to age, to reproductive disorders, to a lack of understanding of reproduction & fertility windows, and a whole lot in between.... As a fertility & PCOS naturopath my role is to help you with these challenges, to pinpoint what may be happening in your case, point you in the right direction for testing & assessment as needed, to help with natural fertility treatment options, supplements and medications to really boost your chances of natural conception, and if natural not possible, to work alongside your IVF treatment to make that a whole lot more likely to succeed. Want to find out more about whats involved, who I am and my qualifications? www.bloomfertility.com.au Thanks for popping by...Vanessa

12.01.2022 Pre-conception health care.... What is this? Simply preparing for pregnancy a few months before you wish to begin trying. Why? Quicker, easier, healthier conception, pregnancy and baby.... Cleaning up your diet and lifestyle, improving weight and getting the right nutrients for 3-4 months in the lead up to "trying", can vastly improve your chances of success and maintaining a successful pregnancy. In those prep months we can also correct any irregular cycle issues, check for ovulation and generally go over your fertility to make sure all is well before you start. One British study by Foresight, found that pre-conception health care reduced miscarriages from the usual 1 in 5 to only 1 in 65, and malformations from 1 in 36 to 1 in 396. Thats impressive. Feel free to message me if you have any questions or check out the website for more about fertility treatments www.bloomfertility.com.au Thanks again for reading. Vanessa

08.01.2022 I just love reading about others fertility journeys. I think I might just have to get my hands on this one too :)

08.01.2022 A new day, a new cycle, a new opportunity for that little family you are longing for. As you well know... struggling to conceive and/or miscarrying is devastating. Trying again and again month in month out. After working alongside couples for over 10 years now I know how hard it can be on them and their relationships. If there is anything that I can share with you today it is to take heart, don't despair, for there are actually very few that I know, that don't end up with a ...little family of their own. Here are a few things that you may not have tried... As a fertility naturopath seeing and helping couples in clinic or via Skype appointments most days, I recommend getting someone to have another look for things that might be missed. This may include some of the newer things coming to light like MTHFR gene mutations which can be related to infertility and miscarriages, having cycle issues like not ovulating, irregular cycle, PCOS, or endometriosis, male fertility problems like count, motility or morphology issues, or even unexplained infertility I have found, can come down to nutrient deficiency, timing or an underlying issue with adrenal or thyroid. So get someone to cast another eye over things for you. A second opinion can make all the difference. As a fertility naturopath my training includes both conventional and complementary elements of education enabling couples to get the best treatment options - that is natural, nutritional, herbal and other natural remedies. As trained teacher of natural fertility education and final year reproductive medicine student, I have a very good understanding of cycles, fertility signs and fertile windows. If you're not sure what your problems are yet then I will be able to point you in the right direction on what tests to get done and where to go for help. So I invite you to have a look at my website and if you'd like to book you first session with me you can do so via the website or give me a call. www.bloomfertility.com.au Appointment are via Skype or one day per week in clinic in Mandurah. Can't find a Skype time to suit I am happy to look at options with you outside of what might be listed in my online diary. Just ask and I will see what I can do. I look forward to helping you make your little family a reality. Vanessa

08.01.2022 If you've got PCOS, you have probably been told you won't be able to have a baby without IVF or if at all. In most cases, this is not true. Conceiving naturally with PCOS is often very easy. As a PCOS and fertility Naturopath, I've been helping couples with their fertility issues for over 10 years now and I've found that conception for those with PCOS is often a lot more straightforward than you think. ... So much so that I've had to add a warning to my PCOS program for those not trying for a baby!! Oops Find out about my treatments for fertility at www.bloomfertility.com.au or PCOS at www.pcoscentre.com.au Email or message me if you need more info .... Vanessa
