19.01.2022 Similarly, when a laboring woman does not feel safe or protected or when the progress of her normal labor is altered, catecholamine levels rise and labor slows down or stops.

19.01.2022 Our heart-centred method of prenatal yoga is grounded in yogic philosophy, providing both wisdom and insight for pregnancy, birth and motherhood. In addition to first-hand expertise, we have developed this training based on up to date research and a best-practice approach for women-centred birthing to safely and confidently teach pre-natal specific yoga to women at all stages of pregnancy. If you cannot join us in person, you're welcome to join us via LIVESTREAM for our entire training online, including class observation.

19.01.2022 CONNECTION Giving women the time and space to connect with one another is an essential part of a PreNatal yoga practice.

19.01.2022 Is 2020 the year that you take YOUR yoga to the next level? This comprehensive and in-depth experience will truly deepen your learning of yoga over 12 months; develop your practice and integrate the teachings into your daily life as part of the process. Gain valuable insight and experience observing, assisting + teaching in-studio classes, plus ongoing mentoring and the support of other students on their own yoga journey.... The first of its kind in Perth's Northern Suburbs, this is a weekday offering - I’ve created this training with families in mind, however it’s open to absolutely everyone - one 5 hour session per week in addition to one monthly weekend intensive - run during the school terms only. In order to maximise learning, places will be limited to just 8 students so that you will be seen and heard. If this sounds like something you feel ready to step into then I would love to hear from you! Sara

17.01.2022 Want to deepen your skills as a yoga teacher and learn how to teach all trimesters of prenatal yoga? Teaching a pregnancy yoga class differs in SO many ways to a regular yoga practice - even one that's modified. In this photo, students are enjoying connection through prenatal partner yoga as well as a hands on assist AND an active birth position - talk about a trifecta! In saying that, there are elements here that are not safe or ideal for all pregnant women, with our co...mprehensive training, you'll learn more than you ever expected and perhaps even light a spark within another you never even thought possible. That's the power of yoga + pregnancy. If you want to share it, our next Prenatal Yoga Teacher Training, held right here in Perth, is September 20-22, 2019. Find out more and see our prospectus: https://www.bloomyoga.com.au/prenatal-yoga-teacher-training at Bloom Yoga Room

17.01.2022 Prenatal Yoga is a practice all on its own, it’s an embodied practice, rather than a modified one.

03.01.2022 Pregnancy = 9-10 months Birth = 1 day Fourth trimester = 3 months In arms = 6-10 months Crawling exploration = 3-12 months ... Walking exploration = 18-27 months Total = 1375 days of Intense Interdependence Our babies need us to be nurturing patient and calm while living interdependently for a finite amount of time. They need us to meet their needs as they are today. Without worry that they will need intense interdependence forever. From conception to age 3, they need our mature nervous systems to help them sleep, recover from stress, get through a day, learn, and explore. They need us to understand emotions and relationships. They need to borrow our mature brain as their brain matures. They all grow and develop and the interdependence becomes less intense. When we give interdependence freely, happily, enthusiastically and without reservation - our children thrive! Their brains grow to be resilient, creative, intelligent and social. Their mental and physical health is protected. So please remember the finite quality of the first 1375 days and the dramatic impact you make when you nurture it. When your baby needs you to sleep, when they need to be held all day, when they want to feed all day, when they want to play on your lap, when they want you to watch them, when they want to look at you. Celebrate this. It will end. After age 3 children still need nurture, calm, patience and interdependence. But not as intensely. All humans need interdependence. Our children will always need us to be a safe place to return to. If we nurture them early they will see us as that safe place.
