23.01.2022 L O N G E V I T Y When I designed these scrunchies I refused to sew the elastic together, a couple of uses (especially those with beautiful thick hair) and the elastic would break. Instead I tie both of the ends together creating an extremely tight knot that is continuously secured with every twist and turn of you hair. ... 22.01.2022 This is me and on a day like today (R U OK? Day) I see no better opportunity than to be real and reassuring to anyone out there that is suffering. I haven't always... Got it together. My name is Jessie Bloom.... I am 31 years of age. I have (what I would say) moderate to severe anxiety. (That's made me extremely emotional writing that down to put out into the world) I am an extremely positive, vibrant, compassionate and giving person but some days... I am really not OK! Thankfully I have an incredible tribe around me. Friends, family, work colleges and the most understanding and respectful boyfriend who know when to ask, "R U OK?" and how to listen to the cyclonic heart ache that escapes my heart and soul as I express my emotions and my anxiety. Some days it takes over my entire body and respiratory system. Making me feel some what paralysed and numb. I've even been on oxygen to help me regain my breath and for my hands to un curl, a result of not being able to breathe properly. As I get older, and as we all begin to address these feelings and our emotions as a society more and more openly, people like me, feel more and more OK. We begin to learn that we are not broken, we a learning. Learning about ourselves in an extremely increidble way. We begin to recognise the signs and learn techniques to honour and tune into what needs our mindfulness, our breath. Who would have ever thought "breathing" would need to be taught. Oh man, don't get me started, another day maybe haha We begin to understand and love our being. I wanted to share this because sometimes people who seem so in tune, content and full of life's magic also have extremely hard days and generally they suffer in silence until they are back to their "Normal Self" But you are normal.
