Learning how to breathe consciously creates a soothing sound for baby and a calm state of mind to ease fear + anxiety. 22.01.2022 I love aligning to the rhythms of nature so we practice stillness on the new moon each month. In this mornings early class we brought out the big balls as a way to rest deeply, feel as well as cleanse. And while Kats no longer with us in the mornings, we can still benefit from her moon wisdom.
22.01.2022 Mum + Baby classes are truly a metaphor for motherhood: its impossible to plan or prepare; some days you get all the asana, other times your practice is one of stillness + holding your baby; either way its an opportunity to be out of the house + just be: with yourself, with your baby, undisturbed by stuff and fully present. By incorporating props into your practice DOES NOT mean you cannot do it, touch is our first language and this is just one of the ways you can explore your own body. Youll often hear me say in class that props are an excellent metaphor for life! A reminder that we all need a little help sometimes and we dont have to do it all on our own!
