18.01.2022 What strengths are you building during your storm? What are you looking forward to when the storm subsides? What will your rainbow be made up of?... When you survive your storm and have a story to tell, what hope will you be able to pass onto others? The most precious lessons I have learnt have been during difficult times. 04.01.2022 Who Cares What Other People Think? How often do we speak, act and make decisions based on worrying about what other people will think? "The less you worry about what people think the less complicated life becomes." Unknown. ... This has been so true in my experience. Once I became more sure of who I was, how God wanted me to live, what I valued and who I wanted to become, then I became less worried about what other people thought of me. Turns out I was my own worst enemy and had to first change the way I thought about myself. This is still a work in progress, but I now have an awareness and can catch myself whenever I hear my negative self-talk and can override it with more positive talk. Whilst I still aim to be considerate and still care about how what I say and do may be impacting those around me, I don't allow their thoughts or reactions to me to dictate how I make my decisions and live my life. It's not healthy to be looking for other's approval and validation. At the end of the day we need to be at peace about who we've been and how we've lived. Often when we live to please others it disrupts our peace and zaps our energy because it is not in true alignment with our beliefs, values and purpose. A lot of the time we can only guess what other people are thinking anyway, and really it's none of our business what others think. They are entitled to their opinions and we are responsible to live our lives to the best of our ability according to our beliefs. What would you do differently if you stopped worrying about what other people thought? How is people pleasing holding you back from being who you were created to be and living your purpose?
