21.01.2022 It’s a tense time for most of us. COVID-19 is scary, and it’s rapidly changing the way we work, socialise, travel, access healthcare, exercise, shop and live. We know many people are feeling anxious, stressed, worried and scared. It’s time to work out how we’re going to look after our own wellbeing and the wellbeing of our family and community as we get through this together. The number one message we want you to hear is this: we will get through this if we work together. C...Continue reading

21.01.2022 Hello followers, host families, and au pairs! We have noticed recently that we are having trouble with our emails using G-Suite. This means that when we send an email out it is going straight to spam rather than your inbox. We have escalated this with G-Suite and hope to have this issue fixed soon. In the meantime, if you are expecting an email from us please check your spam. If nothing has come through please message us through our Facebook account. Thanks for your patience.... 17.01.2022 Dear Host Families, During these exceptional times it can be easy to forget that your Au Pair (or Bro Pair) is possibly working an increased amount of hours. This can be due to holidays, school closures, or parents deciding to pull their children out of school because of concerns regarding COVID-19. These hours need to be to paid accordingly. Please do not expect your Au Pair to double their hours per week and continue to be happy with the same amount. ... If you need some guidance regarding what is an appropriate amount to pay in addition please get in touch via email at [email protected] Blossom Au Pair Australia

11.01.2022 Isolation has been hard on everyone but especially those who have spent the last years dreaming of adventure only to be told you need to #stayathome. So many of our wonderful Au Pair's made the most of it and rose to the challenge. We have had Au Pair's go above and beyond with their host children and help shoulder the load at home. We try to keep in touch with each and every one of you and we hope that you know they we appreciate everything you do for the agency and your host families. #blossomaupairaustralia #aupairinaustralia

10.01.2022 Thank you Clarisse Debaere for sharing these great photos of your adventures around Sydney! Clarisse Debaere has been an Au Pair with a lovely family in Sydney but will move to Queensland shortly. From a big busy city to a small unique town in the outback! You can see so much as an Au Pair in Australia!

09.01.2022 The worldwide situation with the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) is changing from day to day and is raising unfamiliar questions about safety and best practice for people around the world. We have currently suspended all incoming overseas placements unless they can prove adequate quarantine plans. For example a French Au Pair that arrived yesterday has been placed into quarantine in a seperate studio and will not have access to the public for 14 days. The host family will prov...Continue reading

08.01.2022 One of the most satisfying things is meeting an Au Pair who is at a crossroad in life and assisting her in making a choice (that we know) will be an amazing one. One thing about our agency is that we are passionate about our regional areas. Our cities are amazing but getting off the beaten track and exploring our rural and regional areas is something not to be missed. The communities are tight knit but welcoming and we have worked hard to build a great network of host famili...es who look out for each other and their Au Pair's. Manuela Figueroa was exactly in that place. She wasn't sure where she would go next but luckily it didn't take too much to convince her to head north from Kalgoorlie and travel to the Pilbara region of Western Australia. She was matched with a great family who welcomed her like one of their own and she jumped straight into homeschooling and school holidays with three young boys! Since then she has been exploring the Pilbara and making memories. She was kind enough to allow us to showcase some of her adventures. Thanks Manuela Figueroa #blossomaupairaustralia #aupairinaustralia #karratha #pilbara #marblebar #karijininationalpark #westisbest

05.01.2022 The Novel Coronavirus (Covid-19)) dominates all conversations these days. It is already clear that it is having a major impact on international travel, cultural exchange programmes in general and of course our au pair programmes. There are a lot of rumours and uncertainties and of course, we are all worried about the situation for our partners, au pairs and host families. As it stands currently we are trying to assist au pairs who have been advised to return home by their gov...ernments. This is our priority as we don't know what the repercussions are for those who stay behind in regards to their travel insurance and repatriation in the next coming weeks. Our next priority is filling the gaps for these families that have lost an au pair suddenly. Luckily, we have managed to assist 75% of families affected and they have new au pair's starting shortly. Our major concern is host families that might find themselves without work or a need for an au pair due to working from home. We ask that you get in contact immediately with the agency if you believe you might fall into this category. Blossom Au Pair Australia
