20.01.2022 { Matthew & Rudie Bowen } This gorgeous couple need no introduction, and was one of our fav weddings to date, not only did Mr & Mrs Bowen give us full creative license on their florals, we were also blessed to collaborate with some of the best vendors in the biz, North Queensland Elite Rodeo provided the perfect setting for the amazing Wolf & Fox Emporium to work their styling magic, our gorgeous Sisbella Hair & Beauty Bianca Jane Paterson made sure the bridal party was looking their flawless best, and we once again floraled as a team with superstar Blooms by Bevilacqua. 19.01.2022 { Dale & Louise Waring } If you own a Thermomix in 1000klm radius of Charters Towers, chances are, you know & love Louise, one of the most down to earth, fun loving little ladies to ever cook up storm in a funny looking kettle , and if you know Louise & Dale well, you would know their surprise wedding was no ordinary affair! Louise & Dale knew years ago that they were each others forever, purchased a house and completed their family with two gorgeous little boys within a s...hort amount of time, so they didnt feel a huge formal wedding was necessary and really just not them, after Dale proposed earlier this year, & some phone calls between a few key individuals, a surprise elopement wedding party idea was born! What came about was one of the most individual, funnest and original weekends of festivities Ive ever had the pleasure of being involved in. 18.01.2022 We kicked the new decade off with some wide open spaces for the Twin Hills, Cocktails in the Gidgee new years ball. The best part of our 4:30am start and 3:30am finish was partying alongside our gals from Chaseamoocow Catering Co. Bron, Libby & Sally raised the bar once again with another epic grazing table and cocktail spread. Its always a challenge doing events in remote locations where every single little piece of the puzzle needs to be locked in place days before setti...ng off, the facilities are usually not ideal and just arriving with everything still in place in the coldroom is a massive achievement, especially if were travelling dirt roads, but, the feelings of gratitude and sense of accomplishment after the fact far outweigh the worry and stress, every trip is a lesson and my heart is always full when we arrive home. 14.01.2022 Its been a crazy busy couple of months for us here at Blossom, and we cannot apologise enough for all the messages and emails we havent been able to respond to, when everything we supply is made with our own hands, there just arent enough hours in the day! One such completely hand made creation was this sparkly number recently for our friends at Blackheath & Thornburgh College and their 100 year celebrations, standing over 3m high and 4m wide, this is our largest balloon garland and photo wall to date!

Its such an honour to be part of this amazing event, the entirely voluntary, committee of exceptional people and their teams have taken this event from strength to strength over the years and work tirelessly to make it all come together. The highlight for Blossom this year though, was being able to again work alongside some of our fave creatives, Blooms by Bevilacqua and @The Vintage Styling Co, Kassie Darbishire your furniture and styling is something else, and Kate Bevilacqua your floral work is second to none, and we just cant wait to do it all again next year

11.01.2022 You may have noticed weve been a bit MIA on the socials lately.. This is mostly because over the last 12 weeks of this wedding season I have pulled more all nighters in the studio than a freshly legal party goer out on the town! Im a little bit wrecked to say the least, and havent had much time to catch up before the next weeks round of events, messages and emails are unfortunately whats had to give, and I cannot apologise enough if I havent replied to you yet, I wont be able to start my next lot of quoting until the second week of next month, so if youve booked with me for next year, fear not, I havent forgotten, and Im so grateful for you sticking with me!! 08.01.2022 **** Please read until the end of the post if you have booked a date for next year!**** The time has come for me to hang up my florist snippers and have a life! I will no longer be taking on any new weddings for next year and beyond. There are a couple of reasons for this decision, firstly, because of the COVID pause on 2020 I have been given a great employment opportunity that I absolutely love, and secondly, Im in desperate need of carpal tunnel surgery, which will never ...happen if I dont have at least 8 weeks between events for recovery, just another very unglamorous side to the floral life rest assured though, if you have a date booked with me for this year or next year, your booking is most definitely secured. Ive loved every single minute of this crazy journey, the constant learning, making life long friends and experiences! Thank you thank you thank you to my amazing Husband, Children, Mum, Step Mum, Dad, Parents In-Law and my beautiful friends who are always there to jump in and save the day, or just sit up all hours of the night keeping me company in the studio.
