21.01.2022 BALAYAGE TO FOILAGE What happens when you longer want balayage? A great low Tox option is to blend the regrowth and the ends with foils. Here is a peak at just what that looks like. Of course for each balayage to foilage transformation it will vary due to how light the existing colour is and how long the hair is, however one to two visits could have your existing balayage all blended in and looking like a fresh new colour from the roots. ... Did you know that we also offer a foot soaking service? This is great to treat yourself to, whilst your colour is processing or with a specialised treatment. The benefits include detox and relaxation as we cater the oils and salts to suit your souls. This Charlie’s angel beautu was styled by Vicki @organic_lowtox_hair Are you enjoying the balayage look? Or are you ready for a change? Tag your friends in the comments below if they have a balayage and are looking for a change. We would love to hear from you. See more

The amount of support that is available to women overcoming fertility challenges is incredible. If you are going through IVF and you feel alone, there is other women with whom you ca...n share openly with in a safe and trusted environment. @togetherwewait A beautiful afternoon styling these women for a Christmas celebration. 21.01.2022 SELF CARE This week at BAH Spa, we have become curious about what habits are no longer serving us, thanking that part of ourselves which in some way is holding on to those patterns in order to keep us safe and taking on one or two new self care rituals which will actually compliment the life we want and the commitments we have made to ourselves and possibly even others. Here are a couple of examples of self care rituals;... regular sleep routine take lunch breaks go for a walk at lunch take the dog for a walk after a long day eat wholesome food develop friendships that are supportive write 3 good things about yourself or your day see your parents connect with nature yoga Remember it’s what works for you. My care rituals may not be aligned with your life and commitments and so on. So have fun with this exploring what works well and what doesn’t. What self care rituals will you be exploring this week and what hasn’t worked for you on the past? Tag a friend that may need to read this. See more

17.01.2022 Just like the sun shines bright behind the clouds.. a reminder that so does the full moon. This month is super special as we experience two full moons. What a great time connect with self and manifest what you truly desire whilst being grateful for what we all ready have in our lives. The way I create space to manifest is by diffusing some oils.. Litsia being the oil for manifesting. Then I make a tea, meditate, journal or type away in my laptop. ... What are some ways that you create a manifesting space, or some well deserved time out to re connect and recharge with yourself? We would love to hear from you in the comments below. See more

06.01.2022 BLOW OUT A style for the night out. Do you prefer straight or body? Hair by team @organic_lowtox_hair

06.01.2022 Hi, I’m Vicki I have been in the world of hairdressing for over 30 years, gosh that makes me sound old! I started my apprenticeship journey in New Zealand and then travelled with my scissors in bag and worked in London, Dublin, Sydney, Perth and Brisbane. My journey into a low toxin life started about 6 years ago where I new deep down that most hairdressing products actually were not that good for us, so I explored and started using low toxin hair colours to hair care produ...cts. For me health is extremely important ( i’m not perfect by any means ) but I new chemicals that we put on our bodies and breath in aren’t good for us. When I found Blown Away Hair Spa I was in my element the stars alined as they say. During this 30 year journey I explored other avenues for self development which I blended in with hairdressing. I studied energy work in the form of Pranic Healing and then worked in a meditation and healing centre in Perth where I also taught how to meditate. I then had a calling to study flower essence therapy. To be honest I didn’t have a clue about how beautiful and powerful flowers were in healing our emotions. I studied cert 4 in mind body medicine, this covered many subjects from counselling to psychology of self, diet and flower essences. During my studies I worked though more of my core beliefs using flower essence therapy to help me shift through what I couldn’t shift myself. The clarity that I had from using flower essence was amazing, The way I looked at situations was totally different, I wasn’t fighting to get my point across, I was able to see all sides of a situation. I have another beautiful tool to add and that is educating beautiful peeps about the magical benefits Essential Oils play in our health and wellness. Essential oils are a big part of my life from helping support my family with strong immune system, focus blends, sleep, congestion, digestion issues, skin issues the list goes on. Flower Essences and Essential Oils work so beautifully together they intermingle their beautiful energies, properties and aromas so naturally that they make beautiful Self Care products that lift us up and support our journey of inner happines

05.01.2022 Q: Xenoestrogens, what are they? A: They are a ‘strange’ hormone that the body doesn’t recognise that imitates estrogen. Synthetic xenoestrogens include industrial compounds such as PCB’s, BPA and phthalates. When these toxins throw the balance off in the body, it can have reverse effects on the endocrine system. Evidence now suggests that they act like false messengers and disrupt the process of reproduction. ... A: Can we avoid these synthetic compounds? A: It may be a little difficult to completely remove all xenoestrogens from our environment, however reducing these toxins by being conscious of what we are using on and in our bodies will help.
