23.01.2022 Dan Murphy's is on the site formerly occupied by The Turf Club Hotel in Dandenong Road. A weatherboard single-storey hotel was built in 1871 opposite the entra...nce to Caulfield Racecourse. John Heywood, a prominent racing personality, was the hotel's publican until the turn of the century. In 1879 the railway line severed the direct route from the racecourse to the hotel. Through all of this madness we must admit Jorgie & I have felt so grateful to be working side by side in the kitchen (sociall...y distanced of course) Like all of you, we have had to change our ways of work moving everything digital, FaceTime becoming our new bestie. If you’ve had the pleasure of ordering from us you have probably experienced a tired computer error here or there, because let’s be honest you can’t take the chef outta the gals and computers have never been our favourite things to use! Yet persist we shall! Summer is coming and all of our hard work and solidarity will pay off Melbourne! Keep eating good food & passing around positive vibes, we got this!
