25.01.2022 The boys look a bit different after their haircuts on the weekend. For anyone who has met the boys during an experience or trek, can you recognise any of them?

25.01.2022 The wonderful colours of evening.

24.01.2022 Trip to the vets this afternoon with Yarrawah, who has a sore foot. Wellington went along for the ride as his 'support alpaca'. Thankfully, the vet was pretty happy that there is no structural damage and the pair are now back home again.

21.01.2022 Did you know that alpaca make amazing guardians for sheep and other animals? The alpacas ideally should be introduced to the pregnant ewe flock about 4-6 weeks ...before lambing to allow time for bonding. However it is never too late to introduce a pair of guardian alpaca to a flock - even after lambing or kidding has begun. Alpacas can improve lambing and kidding percentages by 15 30%. Looking at the current lamb prices, a couple of guards will pay for themselves in no time! Check our alpaca advice sheet on the AAA member's portal #AustralianAlpaca #HerdGuard See more

14.01.2022 Nice day for a dip.... Wellington loves a bath!

08.01.2022 We can highly recommend Grape Farm Winery, which is just down the road from us - wonderful hosts, beautiful meals and fantastic wines. The views of the vineyard aren't bad either!

06.01.2022 The 'Blue Gum Rise glider sanctuary' is one step closer to happening with the concrete footings being poured. The Quality Assurance and Health & Safety officers (Henny, Penny and Lateesha) arrived early for a site inspection and gave me the OK to proceed. We're now about a third of the way through the pour.

06.01.2022 Saturday was a lovely day for an alpaca trek! Thank you for visiting us, Kellie and fam!

05.01.2022 We were meant to finish shearing today, but we delayed due to the last few days of rain. Instead, we started the formwork for the glider cages. The site supervisors (Henny, Penny and Lateesha) gave our work the once over and approval to continue... and now we're finishing our day with wood fired pizza!

05.01.2022 Happy 25th Birthday Bonnie. We hope you enjoyed your extra carrots for dinner.

05.01.2022 You would think these were happy girls.... thick, green clover and fresh oaten hay for lunch, and eagerly anticipating their haircut appointments this weekend.... but let me just say that regurgitated clover, spat into your face when you have your mouth open, is really one of the worst things on earth.... I have half a tub of Vaporub squashed up my nose, I've eaten a tin of chilli tuna, and I cannot get rid of the taste and smell... Not happy, Ruby!!!!

01.01.2022 The long queue at the hairdressers was amazing this morning - you'd think the girls had been in lockdown for a while! All of them were eager to be pampered with new hairdos, pedicures, massages and vitamin shots. Funnily enough, they all decided to go for the short look this season.... Shearing is over for another year. Many thanks to our shearing crew for making our day go as smoothly as it could.
