24.01.2022 While the Blue Mountains Print Prize has been postponed till 2021, don’t forget that BMCAC still have their Blue Mountains Art Prize on offer and it’s open to all artists. Last years main prize was won by a printmaker, Joy Myers Creed. So get that press rolling and consider putting in an entry or two.
24.01.2022 Dear Artists and Supporters of Blue Mountains Print Prize, Due to COVID-19 and the impact on small business, the Blue Mountains Print Prize will not be going ahead this year. The next Blue Mountains Print Prize will be pushed back to 2021. The dates will be advertised as soon as possible.... Prints are welcome in the upcoming Blue Mountains ART Prize (BMAP) which will be held on the 2nd of October 2020. Entries for this prize open on the 1st of July. See the Blue Mountains Creative Arts Center website for submission instructions (a little closer to the date). Please note: Printmaker Joy Myers Creed was awarded a major prize during the 2019 BMAP for her photopolymer print titled Precious.
22.01.2022 Liz Perfect is conducting classes at Nepean Arts and Design Centre and is making a call out to students to enroll for term 4 2020. Liz will be teaching relief printmaking on Fridays for 6 hour classes and an 8 week term. These cla/sses are government subsidized and earns students a 'statement of attainment' as a credit towards a Diploma course, for example.
