09.01.2022 Bluetongue Sports would like to wish a long time supporter of ours - Paul Calvert all the very best this weekend leading into his retirement - Again. Some great words about Paul from his Club - Parramatta. Paul Calvert came out of retirement to lead our 4th grade side in a second career to help young players establish their own careers with Parra, a role he has performed most admirably!... In the process he joined the 5,000 run club, now amongst the top run scorers for Parramatta since 1893. He will finish his playing career this coming Saturday against Manly at Merrylands Oval with close to 5500 runs for the club, a tremendous personal performance. As well as helping young players through captaincy of the 4th grade, Calvo has contributed enormously off the field through a tremendous amount of pro bono work, through his signage business Strike Print printing signs and banners for the Doug Walters golf classic and many other occasions. He has been a member of the Management Committee, part of the coaching staff for the mens grade club, a leader of the Parramatta Cricket Academy and a very successful Green Shield coach. Under his leadership, the Greenies won the competition in 2017-18, were regular finalists, and inspired many talented young players to progress through the pathway to play grade cricket with Parramatta. To have achieved all this as a family man while still running his successful business is truly awesome. In fact, its exhausting just thinking about it. Everyone knows Calvos amazing passion for cricket and for the Two Blues. Everything he has done has been with the best interests of the Club at heart and with the desire to keep the Club moving forward. Many young players can thank Calvo for helping them on their way. We know that Paul will continue to support the club from off the field, his contribution to our club has been absolutely amazing. Good luck on the weekend Paul and thank you! See more

07.01.2022 A couple of Bluetongue "HAWKS" performing well in todays T20 Double Header. Game 1 saw Ryan Mizzi smash 83 from 55 balls with Dale McKay lending good support 46no from 30 deliveries. Game 2 - Hawks were chasing a very imposing 209 from 20 overs.
