22.01.2022 In a year where so much of Australia's natural environment has been devastated by fires, this rainforest restoration story from our Daintree region was a bright spot. We sincerely hope our fire-ravaged areas can recover #BestOf2019

14.01.2022 Information note to guests. Port Douglas/Cairns region unaffected. Douglas Shire Mayor Julia Leu writes as follows... Port Douglas and Daintree are one of the... many regions of Australia that remains unaffected by the bushfires, with tourism operators continuing to offer incredible experiences to those travelling to our region, she said. The horrific and tragic bushfires are heart-breaking and have touched people across our nation and overseas. We cannot thank enough the courageous work of volunteers, firefighters and everyone involved in trying to save their communities. Our thoughts are with the victims, their devastated townships, as they attempt to recover from this horror. We know people desperately want to help and I’d encourage you to support the local fundraisers that are being organised. If you’d like us answer any questions this post will be monitored and all questions answered. https://www.nytimes.com//australia-fires-travel-questions.

Silly buggers throwing each other around the yard, in to fences and then the table, Liz’s daughter Anita said. Liz Manson
