25.01.2022 Introducing Sarah K
24.01.2022 Awesome fun, hard work and great social distancing with Bluearth Katie Thompson
24.01.2022 Met the amazing force that is Kumalie Riley today at Bunnings - what a beautiful welcome to country. We spoke about the Grandmothers Group that she is a core part of and we extended an invite to the Grandmothers to join us for our next ON COUNTRY excursion!! We are making hula hoops in Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander colours and teaching young people how to move at Bunnings this morning.
23.01.2022 A huge success this week, launching a project that will create a rich environment for our young women of Girls Academy, Centralian Middle School, Sadadeen Primary, Yipirinya School and Bradshaw Primary. Showing our young women they are highly valued and supported.

22.01.2022 Another great Bluearth morning at Telegraph Station playing games, popping balloons, making stress balls and exploring natureplay with the Mental Illness Fellow...ship Australia NT (MiFant) team of Alice Springs! These incredible, quirky people run school holiday programs for everyone, one on one sessions with young people who need support and even carer workshops for those that support those with a mental illness/health condition. Does a young person or person you know need a little extra support or another safe person in their life? There is no judgement, just genuine warmth and understanding and a want to make our kids and families journeys a little easier and supported. For more information on what they do or to set up a chat, email the lovely Rheannan on [email protected] or call 08 8953 1467 #mentalhealth #MIFAnt #natureplay #joiningvoices #supportingourcommunity
20.01.2022 How deadly are these!!!
18.01.2022 A great role model for his community and the wider community!!
16.01.2022 This afternoon I was delighted to present our Innovate RAP to the Aboriginal Education Officers of Mparntwe's Dept of Education. As I looked around the room, I... felt a deep sense of belonging that can only happen in a room full of likeminded and passionate people. I felt a sense of excitement that I have relationships with all their schools, but more importantly with them as individuals. The role of an AEO is one of the most important roles in an Mparntwe school. These hardworking and humble people use their huge networks and local connections to build the child, family and community relationships, and establish the school as a safe place of learning. They are the go-to person for many young people needing support, and staff who are seeking clarification or assistance with cultural awareness and the needs of the greater community. These are the people who step up to educate me and offer me support as the Champion of the Bluearth Foundation RAP. Without the support and genuine friendship of these people, I would be lost. ~ Bluearth Coach Katie Thompson

08.01.2022 Our Bluearth Crew is hoping to get some sports equipment painted in dot painting soon - might have to ask these budding wee artists to help us out!!
08.01.2022 https://facebook.com/events/s/reconciliation-week-closing-da/847502772411122/?ti=icl Alice Springs friends, please support this amazing event towards reconciliation and acknowledging what this day means for our Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities.
07.01.2022 Sadly the RAP Working Group meeting for today had to be postponed as our Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander WG members were unable to make it, and as an organisation we have stipulated we won’t hold the meeting without these important representatives!! On another note, Yipirinya School in Alice Springs enjoyed building cardboard villages with Miss Katie today, out of motorbike boxes from Jetcor! Moving bodies, being creative and problem solving all in one!!... #toomuchfun #movinglives #justforjoy #growingemupstrongandsmart #ourmob
07.01.2022 Clothing the Gap is a safe space where we will platform bla(c)k voices and excellence. While mainstream media represents us wrongfully, we will be the platform... that acknowledged truth telling, healthy discussions and provide experiences and resources for you to learn more. We asked the boys boarding at Hale School, a private school in Perth ‘What’s something you wish non-Indigenous classmates knew more about Aboriginal culture?’ These were their answers. @ Hale School
05.01.2022 We made beanbag Rainbow serpents and then sorted our serpents by colour to count at Larapinta Family Centre last week! Afterwards we made towers to practise our spatial awareness, our risk taking and hand eye coordination and we got so inspired we stacked them on a race car! The rainbow serpent is such a powerful Ancestoral Being and the kids were so excited to make our own!
05.01.2022 Two of our amazing teachers at Bradshaw Primary, Mparntwe, are about to be famous! Yapa (Marissa Priestley) is a strong Bluearth Accredited Ambassador and she has embraced Bluearth as a key foundation at home as much as at school. These beautiful Aboriginal women inspire us with their dedication to thier students and school and the pride they have in who they are and what it means to be Aboriginal. ... Well done Yapa and Joycey!!!
04.01.2022 Celebrating World Teachers Day in the best way possible - on country, with our kids - talking about culture, friendships, building others up and the walls of Simpson’s Gap resounded with laughter, giggles and the sounds of happy women young and old. Thank you to those of you who continue to support us with our On Country programme and respect and thank you to the Arrente Elders of the past, present and future. #SwisseActiveLeaders... #Bluearthoncountry #Bluearth #womenoftomorrow #keepingculturestrong #ourgirls #yaye #arrente See more
02.01.2022 Sadadeen Primary School yesterday had a whole school NAIDOC activity, which started with a beautiful welcome from Summer Rose, and a give you goosebumps, Welcome to Country by Chansey. Aunty Carmy then spoke about what NAIDOC is and why it’s important, and shared with us all the amazing things that happen in Sadadeen Primary to celebrate Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. All three of these women are a core part of our Girls On Country programme.... Then we divided up, with kids of all age groups buddying together to create some NAIDOC arts and crafts. A great celebration! #NAIDOC2020 #alwayswasalwayswillbe Sadadeen Primary School

01.01.2022 Watch this space. We are in talks creating a space to work with the Women’s Shelter and the young people there. These mums and children need bright beautiful moments in their day and as we all know:... trauma and movement = healing!! The Bluearth Approach aligns perfectly with trauma informed practise, and our coaches are part of a local group that gathers every term to share newly researched trauma practise and learning.
