01.01.2022 SOUTH COAST OPEN FOR BUSINESS Emergency Services and infrastructure services have been working hard to ensure many areas of the South Coast can re-open. After ...assessments held today, it has been decided that visitors may now return to areas of the Shoalhaven and South Coast. However, areas that were heavily impacted by the fires remain accessible to local residents only. People wishing to take advantage of the tourist areas are strongly encouraged to contact their destination/accommodation providers before setting off. You should always check your route is clear by monitoring Live Traffic NSW and be aware that roads may be closed at short notice. A number fires remain active to the west of the Princes Highway and it is important to keep your self up to date with the situation by checking the NSW RFS website or Fires Near Me app. National Parks will remain closed in the area until 1st February 2020. If you are visiting the area, enjoy your stay. This is and remains a beautiful area of NSW.
