Our amazing clients @kidsthrive recently spoke on #abcgippsland about the incredible work they are doing with all their programs and the incredible impacts they are having in the lives of the kids they work with. Some of the Kids as Catalysts participants also joined on one of the chats discussing the 3D printed hand they made for a little girl so she can ride her bicycle. ...2. @MELCA was featured in @theguardian discussing divorce during lockdown and why so many people are delaying divorce - you can check out their article online. 3. We hired new staff recently as you may know. Paul is a full time trainee completing a Cert IV in Business with a focus on marketing under a Traineeship scheme. 4. Marcel de Bie was featured on TV and in global media discussions recently. Marcel is a world leading sonic experience designer. Lots more on and tonnes happening. With so many brilliant clients creating essential and positive change in our communities, we are thrilled to congratulate and celebrate every little win. We have been extremely busy this past week and had forgotten to upload our wins from last week! So here you go... This week's wrap up includes an important mention to @melcadivorce who celebrated a special milestone la...st Thursday - their one-year anniversary of their documentary ‘Family is Family’. The documentary outlines the significance of MELCA’s collaborative practices they use every day to help many families successfully transition through their separation process. The documentary shines a light on real experiences of the family court system and the multi-generational effect they are seeing after family separation. Stephen spoke with Sam on all things Mental Health, including the importance of the training EEY provide to know the expressions of stress in young children and adolescents and how to appropriately respond and help.
