25.01.2022 Happy Friday! Just in case if you didn't know that each and every BlueCarve is made in Australia, here in Melbourne, we made it official #madeinaustralia
25.01.2022 If you haven't already joined the BlueCarve Owners Page (and you are an owner of a Bluecarve), sign up soon or else you will miss out! We'll be starting info sessions via zoom of which this week we'll be covering CNC router bit selection titled "What the flute?" I will eventually be offering such sessions to the wider CNC community in the future but for now I'll practice with the BlueCarve community
24.01.2022 Need to make a set of stairs and have no idea?!?!... CAD then CNC a jig
24.01.2022 Showing off the capabilities of the Turbo and the achievable detail. Video can be found in the comments below. Bit used was a 2 flute straight cut tapered ball nose.
24.01.2022 I always get a kick out of when a BlueCarve owner shares their projects. Mario S. was nice to show off a new cradle for his jet. Modelled on Fusion360 Thanks mate
24.01.2022 I'm not big on swank, but the hoodies are cool
23.01.2022 Here today, here tomorrow... Another 280m of aluminium rails for the Bluey, made in Penrith NSW Australia by Capral Aluminium Things are only going to get better at BlueCarve
23.01.2022 Another take on a bits holder Thanks Mark for sending this through
19.01.2022 Two lucky carvers are getting their Turbo today
19.01.2022 So yeah, I think the Turbo had become a bit more popular than I expected! Lead times have blown out for any new customers to 5 weeks. You are more than welcome to book a spot, just expect to wait a bit. Moving into the new factory has and will help with getting on with it. Trust me that I wont rest till all are out the door. Thank you for your support and patience
19.01.2022 So Im not sure if anyone has noticed but the world has gone a bit crazy as of late Together with a huge demand on the Turbo as well as a mistake on my behalf with ordering the wrong sensors, I have managed to get each CNC up to where I can. The moment I get the urgent TNT delivery, Ill be pumping these out before you know it.
18.01.2022 Everyone say hi to Wookie (aka walkie stacker)! In continuous pursuit to reduce the total cost to you, Ive acquired a walkie stacker to avoid a tailift pick up charge. So considering I do not mark up shipping, this is a saving of up to $80 to you!
16.01.2022 Home schooling + developing business plans + profit and loss... My 6yo daughter Ola doesnt think shes too young to learn how to operate a CNC business. Explaining "worth" was hard so the number of frogs or calipos was how she determined the profit expectation.
16.01.2022 If you havent already joined the BlueCarve Owners Page (and you are an owner of a Bluecarve), sign up soon or else you will miss out! Well be starting info sessions via zoom of which this week well be covering CNC router bit selection titled "What the flute?" I will eventually be offering such sessions to the wider CNC community in the future but for now Ill practice with the BlueCarve community
15.01.2022 Ok, so Ive been threatening to do this for a while now! Starting this July, well be holding evening CNC beginner sessions at BlueCarve HQ in Ravenhall Victoria. The only rule for these sessions is, open to anyone with any CNC or without I have a few topics in mind but I was hoping to put it out to the BC followers, what topics would you like covered? Im thinking of 2 hrs, on an evening and the only cost is to bring something yummy to share for the others
15.01.2022 Hey peeps! So.... I've had a look at the current list of orders and it seems the BlueCarve has been a bit too popular. We have 32 Turbos and Blueys to build, test and ship. Even with a full crew of 2 full timers, my wife and myself (oh and this lovely chap named Mark) we don't think it'll be fair to accept any more orders for the time being. We will reassess in a month but the only way to make great product is to take the time to make them. Keep safe, The BlueCarve Team
14.01.2022 Have you "trammed" your machine? You know, taken your CNC on tram route 56 to.... ok ok Just kidding! Tramming is where you align your Z axis to be 90deg to the waste board both along the X and Y axis. If your CNC is off, youll see lines on your waste board especially when surfacing. To align your waste board the easy way, check out this link https://buildyourcnc.com/tutorials/tutorial-tramming-diy In my honest opinion, you dont have to spend money on dial indicators or expensive hardware. Just a $3 6mm steel rod from Bunnings. Thank you Terry Harlick for the photo and link
14.01.2022 Before I start... with recent global events and external pressures, it looks like our competitors have had no choice to up their prices! Considering at BlueCarve we make most components ourselves and do not outsource so that prices remain competitive... it's too bad for them and great news for us! We therefore would like to arguably take the crown of "The best valued CNC in the world!". Yes a bold claim but you'll find it hard to find the size offering, extras and excellent s...ervice anywhere else. As for an update, we are on the home stretch to Christmas and we have been working hard at BlueCarve HQ. All orders for Blueys should be completed by end Oct as promised which is great considering it was a crazy long list. Good news is that if you are interested in a Bluey before Christmas, we are opening orders again for early November fulfillment. October filled up fast as an indication so get in before lead times explode again Regarding Turbos we are still accepting orders with a long lead time caveat. We hope you appreciate the shear amount of work that goes into making a Turbo but we are getting better at it. Thanks a million for your support to date. I share your messages and good news stories with the team daily as we enjoy them a lot. The BlueCarve Team Cassey, Travis, Tomek, Annette and Adam
14.01.2022 Chunky bit for a chunky CNC! My daughters birthday tomorrow and she loves my test pieces. Its only a round box but I know shes love it. That bit was an 8mm 3 flute going at 6m/min at 6mm DOC in to hardwood FYI
12.01.2022 If you are a current owner of a Bluecarve, come join the BlueCarve Owners Group! Not much on there at the moment but give it time. Get tips and hints, support and peeks behind the scenes. Lets make BlueCarve a true community

10.01.2022 Finishing touches of a fully loaded 1.5x1.5m off to @hammerroo in Qld. Nathans being waiting patiently for this one and excited to get it out the door
08.01.2022 Progress! Late nights will be a regular for a few weeks but with a few helping hands makes light work! There is a bit of a supply issue on key components which Im getting air freighted in. Thank you to everyone for your support and patience
07.01.2022 The Adam's Bits catalogue has been updated! Finally! There you find some new bits and your favourite... Adam's Tips https://store-35h3s5sv8k.mybigcommerce.com//Adam%27s%20Bit
07.01.2022 Nope, you won't have this issue with a BlueCarve. Being assembled on pick up or mostly assembled if shipped means you'll get carving faster! FYI an xcarve (and local variants) is stated to take 3hrs to put together... Yeah right!
06.01.2022 Im sure you have all realised that my usual instant replying to messages has blown out to 1 to 2 days of which I send my biggest apologies. So to update, BlueCarve have moved into a new and bigger premises about 5 minutes up the road 2 weeks ago exactly. BlueCarve HQ is now located on Eucumbene Drive in Ravenhall, just behind the Caroline Bunnings for you locals. To really make things harder for ourselves, we moved a 20ft container in a week later to cater for a 2nd floor to... move Adams Bits in. Ive been blessed with two bright employees I hired on before the move and we have been chipping way at orders relatively well. But you guys are still ordering like crazy which is why Im posting to say that after tonight, Ill be only making Turbos available for pick up until further notice. Of course, any current enquiries and orders will be honoured of which Ive been quoting a 6+ weeks turn around. Blueys will be made available for domestic and international so no change there other than 3 week wait. Thank you for your understanding and hope to lift the restriction sooner than later. Keep safe Adam and the BlueCarve team See more
06.01.2022 I think that excuse for not having a website is over. If anyone has ideas or would like to talk about knocking up a website get in touch.
06.01.2022 Making preparations for Adams Bits to move in on lvl 2
05.01.2022 Rain... hail... Covid19... We will keep on getting those BlueCarves out
05.01.2022 "Does my BlueCarve come with bits?"... Of course it does! $65 worth to be precise. I'm serious when I say that we are committed to making the best valued CNC in the world, right here in Melbourne, Australia
03.01.2022 Pre-order your Bluey for Oct/Nov delivery! Thank you to everyone that's been asking about a Bluecarve of their own! The overwhelming interest has been humbling and sorry to those who I've knocked back. I was waiting till we have all the "ducks lined up" before opening orders up again for the Bluey. Regarding Turbos, we are still knocking out orders. The insane amount of larger sized Turbo's has bogged is down and therefore we are still restricting orders to the smaller size... and pick up. Even then it's still a 2 month wait. We are expecting fresh stock of aluminium rails from Capral Aluminium next week and motors end of September. So if you are keen for an October/November delivery of your Bluey, get in touch and I'll respond with details on how to pre-order. (Sorry about the jankie marketing photo. Luckily we make Australia's best value CNC instead ) Adam and the BlueCarve team
03.01.2022 This weeks been a bit crazy so hopefully if you dont mind, I am taking the day off tomorrow (thats right, on a Saturday). I will be uncontactable and will be spending some quality time with the family. Thank you for your support, Adam
02.01.2022 So for those who have been following the news on a 3D models group run by Dario Ristevski. Hes been going around selling stolen/freely available 3D models for $350, effectively scamming you out of money. To quash his efforts and more so stop people throwing away money for something free, a group has been formed to make his files available, effectively cutting off his scam. Enjoy https://www.facebook.com/groups/wario3d/?ref=share
01.01.2022 Rather than waiting for us to perfect the BlueCarve official dust boot, check out Joes dust boot set up and hit him up for details
