25.01.2022 How is everyone going? We are missing all our students so much! Better times are coming, and we can’t wait to see you all again soon... only 12 days left of Winter, and the end of lockdown is also within sight! ... Lessons won’t be too far off, so hang in there!

22.01.2022 Look who’s back in the arena! Heaven is going to be giving a couple of lessons each week, with us monitoring her closely to make sure she handles it ok. Sometimes it’s good for the oldies to have a little job to do, to keep a level of physical and mental fitness. ...

22.01.2022 What strange times we are all living through at the moment! Hopefully everyone is at least keeping warm and spending time with their loved ones either in lockdown or while practising social distancing. Bluedale is undergoing some major business restructuring at the moment, so we are putting all lessons on hold for a short while. ... But... We will be coming back bigger and better! Our current and ‘waiting list’ clients will be offered first priority once we commence in our new business. There’ll be lots of new opportunities for learning all aspects of horsemanship, photo shoot sessions, plus heaps more! We appreciate how loyal and patient all our current clients have been and look forward to opening up again as soon as we can!

14.01.2022 We have a student of the week! Willow is not quite four years old and is already managing to steer and stop her pony, weave around tyres and step over the snake poles! Super impressed with her progress and positive attitude towards giving anything a go! ... You are a star, Willow!

13.01.2022 How beautiful are Spring days? We have quite a lot of grass in some of the paddocks and our ponies are loving it! Each day is one step closer to opening up for lessons again. There is a lot going on behind the scenes in preparation!

13.01.2022 How cute is this fella? Halloween belongs to a client and is having a little stay at Bluedale for some education. Today we started with some join up and desensitisation, followed by some work on some sore spots, and softening through lateral flexion. ... Love working with this guy!

12.01.2022 Our school ponies have had a lovely break from lessons, but now it’s time for them to start working again. PJ is so relaxed and easy going, she is just a pleasure to do anything with, and I think she enjoyed being back in the arena today!

07.01.2022 Little Halloween went home today, after his two weeks of boot camp at Bluedale! Educating ponies doesn’t always mean just riding in the arena, we also like to ride them out on the trail to help put some context to the aids that we use in the arena. Halloween has come along in leaps and bounds, and is going more confidently and willingly for his young riders now. ...

07.01.2022 Thought for the day. We hear many students say ‘this is hard’ during lessons. The response is always ‘of course it’s hard, you’re riding!’ ... Before long, things start to seem easier, but the reason for that is because the student is getting better! It’s also important to remember that none of us in the horse world EVER stop learning, so there’ll always be something that is hard. Keep trying, keep achieving!!
