This week our Premier announced further changes to our border restrictions... being borders remaining shut until at least the 31st of August. As always, we respect this decision, safety first.... However, like other tourism operators, this is another change, pivot, re-think, re-jig, start, stop... whatever you would like to call it. This takes energy, resilience, courage and motivation. You'll often hear mountain bikers from the deck 'yeow-ing' on trails in the network, but you won't see them, and they won't see you. 19.01.2022 December This week our Premier announced Tasmanian borders will be closed until December 1st, with the plan of opening borders after this date. This is another massive 'pivot' for our business (we know, that term is being used a lot lately!). All going to plan, as of August 7 travel will be allowed between Tasmania, South Australia, Western Australia and Northern Territory. Our guide Steve was fantastic! Each day, he provided wonderful guidance to help us improve our skills and technique and encouraged us all the way. By day 3 we were shredding the trails, railing the corners, burning the berms, maintaining endurance on the uphills and dashing downhill with confidence - ‘YEW’ing’ like professionals and speaking some mountain biking lingo too! This was our first time visiting Tasmania. Tara went out of her way offering different itinerary ideas..., hotels and restaurants to visit before we joined the Pods for our 4 day adventure. 04.01.2022 2020 What a year Nothing could have prepared us for this rollercoaster. But, we have made it to the end... And we are still smiling. Smiling because in between the ups and downs, we have experienced many sweet moments, to name a few:... Past guests callings and checking in, just because they are thinking of us. Tasmanian's supporting us while borders have been completely shut more than could have ever expected. Abundances of mainlanders booking with us as soon as borders opened again (and closed, and opened and closed, and opened...TBC ).
