25.01.2022 Happy birthday to Sherman - 7 today

24.01.2022 When your video upload that has taken 24hours and three attempts hangs up at 99.9% :(

24.01.2022 Overnight Parts From Japan! Where: "Overnight" = waiting nearly three months for the order to be filled and freighted... "Parts" = Panels pressed from original tooling that still need refining prior to paint to correct minor flaws "From" = internet purchase "Japan" = United Kingdom "!" = :I See more

23.01.2022 Sorry Boof, did we miss something?! Happy belated birthday to Boof who turned 8 recently - apparently one of us slept through the occasion?!

21.01.2022 Another year on and 13Kgs lighter - happy birthday to Sherman - 6 today

21.01.2022 The waiting game: Oli's 1965 split screen Kombi has returned from the blasters to have the large panels stripped by hand prior to a full epoxy coat - top, bottom, inside, outside, while Phil's 1941 Ford waits for paperwork as part of the licensing process for hot rods, Arul's 1972 Mercedes waits for doors to arrive from Queensland to replace badly rusted items and Callum's 1977 Leyland Mini waits for an replacement spot welder to attach a new roof panel!

20.01.2022 To any Blue Dog followers affected by the Perth hills bushfire: I have a 2 horse float connected to my 2wd Ford Falcon in Middle Swan, Swan Valley. Call me if you need help, Clint - 0403 733 054 anytime.

20.01.2022 Spotto: Damian's '66 Plymouth Belvedere at this past weekend's Classic Cars and Coffee, still looking resplendent

19.01.2022 He has been signed off for the last six months, so we're celebrating his three year anniversary at Blue Dog today, congratulations Dino

18.01.2022 Last of the V8 Interceptors?!

18.01.2022 Happy birthday to Boss - 13 today. Boss has recently retired to Mum and Dad's house and informs us the "paddock grazing" is much improved!

18.01.2022 Colin had an early morning pick up after having minor detail work completed on his MX5 at Blue Dog - we resprayed both rear quarter panels, rear bumper and his wheel centre caps, prior to an exterior detail. This is one of the last pop up headlight MX5's produced before a model change in 1997 and a real credit to the owner - low mileage, care in ownership and pride in the car - great vehicle!

16.01.2022 Vale: Missy Last week at Blue Dog could best be described as indifferent for several factors, one being the passing of Missy. She had a great smile that broadened when she realised you were a friend and she gave the best hugs. I miss her, she was a good puppy.

16.01.2022 We arrived to this installation titled "Go Home Cabinet, You're Drunk", didn't understand it and therefore deemed it modern art! It was closely followed by the performance piece "Cold Water Only, The HWS Has Carked It"! Yep, it's Monday!

15.01.2022 When you head into the workshop to feed the dogs and discover the workshop fairies have been busy over the weekend!

15.01.2022 Following an early morning congregation at the end of the driveway, we say "Happy Birthday" to Ferris - 7 today.

15.01.2022 I have resisted the urge to wax lyrical about Covid and the effects on business, life, love and the universe but given Perth has just had it's lockdown cherry popped with a requirement for face masks, this seemed fitting!

15.01.2022 "Sunroofs a specialty!" Bryce preps Callum's Mini for a new roof skin and appreciates the ergonomics of the job!

15.01.2022 We had a "black Mini" day last week, as Jonathan's 1963 Cooper got some fresh air and Lisa's 2005 Cooper S awaited pick up from having a new headliner installed.

15.01.2022 We had a visit this afternoon from an RSPCA inspector responding to a complaint the boys didn't have access to shelter?! Obviously access to the workshop and office, an insulated kennel, a rear covered open panel storage area, a plunge pool and dinner with fresh water daily is not enough?! Boof laughed it off and went for a paddle, ..., I'm still disappointed the complainant has sullied my business with an unfounded complaint that no doubt will stay on the books - I'm a deserted tropical island and a volleyball away from the relief of having to put up with those types of whingers!?! Move over Boof, I'm coming to join you! On a lighter note, I've popped my "emoticon" cherry!

14.01.2022 A little later and longer than I would have liked but I am a "one take hacker" when it comes to video production and I have a lot to say on the subject! I am aware the focus is terrible, my apologies - apprently my new smart phone is not that smart?!

14.01.2022 Not sure that we should be worried our parcel (an inanimate object) is at the local hospital, ..., or that our workshop has morphed into a Tardis and teleported us into the neighbour's brickyard?!

13.01.2022 The great test of modern movies: 1: Find something worth watching 2: Staying awake 20 minutes in, despite your interest in the subject matter!... awakehttps://m.facebook.com/story.php?story_fbid=10157925936788949&id=15925638948

12.01.2022 Forgive me Father for I have sinned, ..., I wrapped my first vehicle parts this afternoon instead of painting them! Lisa's Mini wing mirrors were wrapped and new stripes installed to hide fade on the bonnet after old decals were removed.

11.01.2022 When your number plates are valued significantly higher than your vehicle!

09.01.2022 Homework, Blue Dog style. The Australian bushfire issue has seen wildlife centres desperate for rehabilitation goods so Sarah has been busy making bat wraps, joey and marsupial pouches and crocheted bird's nests primarily used in infant rescue as their parents abandon offspring. If anyone local to Blue Dog has any natural fabrics (cotton, linen, flannelette, ...) that they don't need or want, we will graciously take it to continue making goods needed. We will also accept blankets and sheeting as well as any dietary needs that need to be passed into rescue centres throughout the nation. It's not much of an automotive post, but we're a bit soft when it comes to animals so just trying to do our little bit to help out. Please feel free to share this post where ever it may garner a bit of traction to help out #GlobalCraftMovement

09.01.2022 The same can be said for restoration work - lateral thinking!

09.01.2022 It's OK Boof, chicks dig scars!

08.01.2022 Friday: Inane repetitive commercial radio station 3, Gangster rap 0 Heart muscles 2, employees 0 Small repair job to Ross' XB Coupé door leading to the discovery of previous poor rust repairs, wavy sheet metal, no epoxy, humidity blisters in the paint from the "extensive open bog work" and a cheap looking scuff and spray attempt, leading to a replacement door rework 1, doing the job properly the first time 0 ... Lets not talk about my phone and it's interaction with the concrete this morning!?!

08.01.2022 Tony's 1994 Ford LTD heads home today after extensive crash, rust, panel and paint work. This car was originally Richard Court's Premier's car, ordered directly from Ford Australia by the "Office of the Premier" fully optioned including map light, heavy duty suspension and tow pack. These days, the vehicle resides with several other luxobarge vehicles that Tony also owns.

08.01.2022 OK guys, we need to have a serious chat ... Someone is stealing the spoons ...

07.01.2022 A "smallish" job recently completed at Blue Dog were repairs to Bob's Toyota Supra. Typical of Toyotas of the early eighties, rust had really taken hold of the body requiring us to section two items to make one good hatch. Sectioning is an older style repair method to ensure structural rigidity and in these days of throw away panel replacement, is one of our "go to's" to ensure quality steel repairs.

06.01.2022 Happy 18th birthday to Blue Dog Garage apprentice Michael who also completed his final assessment at TAFE today. The boys are making sure we all keep our social distancing up to spec too!

05.01.2022 Greg's 1966 Ford Thunderbird was factory fitted with a vinyl roof and came in with small bubbles of rust forming under the skin. We have removed the roof and are currently repairing the sheet metal, prior to painting the turret and reapplying a new vinyl roof

04.01.2022 Steering wheel restorations: JD recently contacted us to restore his Valiant steering wheel. Cracks in the rim were attended to, before the wheel was profiled and coloured to his requests. Come see us or message the workshop for similar work.

04.01.2022 Dogs are the best people -shared from the "fact filled" interweb!

04.01.2022 A busy week at Blue Dog, offset by a Friday BBQ lunch, prepped by the gourmand!

03.01.2022 Happy birthday to Boss - 14 yesterday!

02.01.2022 Blue Dog is again on display at this year's All Ford Day 2019 at Bassendean Oval. Paul's Mustang, Greg's Thunderbird, Chris' Fairlane, Joe's Ranchero, Tony's LTD and Dino's XP grace our stand, stop by if you are in the area?!

01.01.2022 Jim's 1960 Chevrolet Belair is heading home after some mechanical maintenance, rust repair, panel and paint and a refurbished steering wheel for the interior. This is an original 283CID Chev V8 with 2 speed Powerglide auto transmission, right hand drive vehicle sold new in the Australian market and will be for sale shortly. Contact us for Jim's direct contact details if you are interested?!
