21.01.2022 Painting timber has always been a love of mine. I can smell the timber, I can feel the rough and smooth of it as I brush and as it soaks up more of the paint. I like to leave some parts free in order for the grain to shine through and this one captures the turquoise waters of Cellito beach on the Mid North Coast near my home. . Once a year the lake opens up to the sea and the mixing of the waters occurs, it is fabulous to watch. I hopefully have captured this in what I create...d as an Ariel view of the event. . 17.01.2022 It's time i cleaned up my tools for the year and say thank you to everyone. Online orders are still open, but won't be processed till early Jan as we break for Christmas to be with family. Over the years I have dabbled in many other mediums including ceramics, pottery and jewellery making. Throughout my life I have always loved colour, handmade items and travel. This passion led me to travel collecting fair trade and handmade products and enabled me to hunt for treasures, bringing artisans work and storie...s home. For many years I enjoyed sourcing and merchandising colourful textiles, jewellery and art from around the globe. I recently rediscovered the joy of playing with paint. My style is colourful and influenced by my memories of faraway places, the people, tribal handicrafts, palm filled sandy bays and the array of colourful flowers nature has given us. 15.01.2022 Today I have a personal moment to share...it makes me happy and I'm all for sharing good vibes. This winter, Heath and I tucked away to our most favourite place in the world, bare foot at sunset with our baby boy on a still afternoon and we got married. A moment so glorious that Mother Nature came out to play and bless us...she asked the whales to jump so gloriously that we had to stop the ceremony and watch. She had dolphins mingling behind us and then asked Solomons local ...Eagle to circle over head as we made it official. The sun shone so gloriously it stopped the wind. We are married, we are LOVE, we are living in paradise, we are the happiest people on the planet right now....so if we are sporting big grins...this is why x One day we will have a big party with all of our friends, but for now, I'm enjoying my moment of being... 13.01.2022 The massive installation by @nicole_monks at The Lock up in Newcastle opened on the weekend and I was glad our son could be a part of it. He listened, he ran in circles, he danced, he tried to grab rocks and sand and feathers (i chased him). He was delighted by all that was surrounding him and taken back by some of what he didn't realise was a close look at Australia's past....a little dark but truthful. This is one of the most emotive exhibits I've ever seen. It's STRONG.

11.01.2022 The balance between Venus and Mars created MARUS. The need to shift energy in your body as you feel off-balance can create turmoil. I created this artwork with symbols of male and female energies dotted throughout, represented by the arrows, circles, lotus flower, waves of movement and seeds giving strength and subtle touch. The 28-day moon cycle surrounds the entire Mandala and is drawn around the circumference. Created during a time when i needed balance...it helps restore and reconnect inner power. The art process is a great way to bubble up emotions that are held in your belly in order to let go, this piece was a fine example of that.
