25.01.2022 Blue Forest Media says this all the time to clients, and we aren't joking. Stop using Seagate drives, especially for storing film rushes. We get they are cheaper than other drives - but are they worth an entire productions worth of rushes or data?

24.01.2022 We helped make a new thing.

24.01.2022 The second part of our WAEC campaign is live. It was Directed by Dominic Pearce and produced by Lauren Danger Brunswick, and featured a whole bunch of the creative cats from Top Knot Detective's production design and costume teams. This campaign was a blast to work on, and ran on cinema screens prior to Star Wars Rouge One. Massive thanks to Marketforce and the incredibly supportive staff at the WAelections Office. Vote 1 Dark Lord. He might plunge us into eternal darkness, but at least his broadband policy is tight. He understands the importance of the internet in effectively spreading evil.

22.01.2022 Please help Rev get to their 20 fo/20 target and donate today. Films pretty important hey. https://igg.me/at/rev20for20/emal/16534340

17.01.2022 Announcing a new Blue Forest series for ABC Arts: BIOGENESIS. Meet a group of ground-breaking biological artists who boldly challenge what we know about nature, our own bodies and life itself, forcing us to reconsider what it means to be alive. Coming 2019.

17.01.2022 Blue Forest editor Dominic Pearce provided edit and post-production assist for the long, long, long awaited Meal Tickets, which premiered recently at MIFF. Mat De Koning is one of the most amazing documentary makers in the country, and we were very lucky to be involved with such a committed labor of love. As soon as this film gets to a screen near you, please check it out. Given Blue Forest's crew are both in a few bands, we can attest to a lot of the love and hate with the industry side of music that's looked at in this film. Congratulations to Pick Productions and the whole cast and crew. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ek4qTkCVuD4

17.01.2022 BIOGENESIS is a 6-part Documentary series for ABC Arts produced by Blue Forest - streaming on ABC iView from August 10th. A new generation of artists are repurposing living material to make us reflect upon our own bodies and question what makes us human. Australia is home to many such provocative artists working in different fields of research, redefining life in a new way, each of them inducing wonder, fascination and amazement in their unique perspective of what it means ...to be alive. BIOGENESIS investigates creative and peculiar living experiments through the personal journeys of six artists that have developed ground-breaking work by manipulating life in the laboratory. In each story we witness the birth of a new artwork, performance or exhibition as the artists share with us what drove them down their distinct personal path of discovery, with insight from scientists and mentors that influenced and assisted them along the way. With unprecedented access to the labs of world leading Bio Art facilities, behold the creation of paradigm shifting ideas that will challenge and inspire. Each artist investigates concepts that question the future of science and the evolution of humanity itself. In this series we look deeper into issues of artificial intelligence, the human microbiome, the social and medical discourse of fat, feminine identity and hygiene, the honeybee crisis and the invisible suffering of chronically ill medical patients. These biological artists question emerging scientific developments, introducing new stories that allow us to understand, embrace and utilise advances in science in the 21st century. Through these six unique stories, we question how these artworks reflect upon our own bodies and our own definition of life itself as we learn how these biological artists are influencing the international art world through this fascinating manipulation of living matter into art. The series features the work of artists Guy Ben-Ary, Nina Sellars, Helen Pynor, John A Douglas, Tarsh Bates and Mike Bianco. Biogenesis was produced by Blue Forest with assistance from Screenwest, Screen Australia and the Australian Broadcasting Corporation (ABC). ABC TV + iview

12.01.2022 We here at Blue Forest are major proponents of NBN as it is desperately necessary for our industry to stay relevant on the world stage. As for personal usage, NBN Co has released a tool on their website so you can find out just how they plan to screw your suburb out of up-to-date and long-lasting tech infrastructure and when they plan to do it. You can find the link here. If you're not NBN equipped, BFM is able to help with large format data transfers and file deliveries. Contact us at [email protected] for more information. http://www.abc.net.au//nbn-co-introduces-address-c/8304630

07.01.2022 Blue Forest Media (very) recently finished production on this new six part series for good friend and long time collaborator Ian Strange, that explores his work with the concept of Home over the last 8 years.
