23.01.2022 There's been drought, flood, fire and now COVID. While some businesses thrived, many struggled. Like most small businesses in #thetweed, we did our best to keep our doors open. And I'm VERY PROUD that our Picnic-At-Home hampers (while a non-profit project) supported over 30 small local businesses.... Then to receive this AMAZING review from London! Makes our heart sing THANK YOU Maraka and everyone who supported us and our community by purchasing Picnic-At-Home Hampers. Buying local, puts delicious food on your table, and helps us keep food on ours plus our suppliers. It's far from over. People remain out of work, including my husband and many close friends. Some businesses are closing and there's much uncertainty. So while it's impossible to know what's ahead, we continue to make daily choices that focus on leaving a positive imprint on our community. Some ways you can help us do this are: 1. Shopping local wherever possible 2. Recommending local businesses 3. Dining in a local cafe / restaurant 4. Booking a local experience or outing 5. Hayley - My favourite is beetroot, it just goes with everything and fits every occasion, not to mention it's delicious!... Gemma - Without a doubt, my fav is creamy goats cheese and truffle dip, I just can’t stop eating it! Jess - Call me classic, but I adore a creamy and refreshing Tzatziki. 14.01.2022 HAPPY BIRTHDAY to my little man Tate. 22 Years an Angel Born at 22:09 on Tuesday, 12 January 1999, cubby Tate had a full head of dark brown hair. I cherished every moment of the 38 weeks I had the privilege of protecting him in my womb. While we only had the chance to hold Tate in our arms for a brief moment in a child's life, we hold him in our hearts forever.... Tate came and went in an instant, taking with him a lifetime of hopes and dreams we had for him. Although, at the time, I never knew how present he'd be in our lives. Forever watching over his younger sisters, Tate is in our world each day. As we do every year on 12 January, we'll celebrate your birthday with Champagne at the beach watching out for dolphins

09.01.2022 The most common question we get asked is "what if it rains?". So on this rainy Sunday, thought we'd share our Wet Weather Policy: While we’re fortunate to enjoy over 300 sunny days a year in The Tweed, it does rain. A final weather confirmation is conducted the day prior to your booking.... In the event of severe weather we offer a number of wet weather alternatives such as sheltered locations or creating a setup in your accommodation. Several of the luxury resorts we work with have sheltered locations and our Picnic on Water is under cover. We provide throws and blankets to keep you cozy and warm. If wet weather is predicted for your booking date, a team member will contact you to discuss options. Moral of the story...don't worry about the weather, we always find a solution
