16.01.2022 Sulfur Crested Cockatoo busily creating a nesting hollow in the base of a large Eucalypt in Mt Eliza. It's great to see the cockatoos creating a nesting hollow. It doesn't hurt the tree and the cockatoos as well as many other native birds and animals will use the hollow to nest it.

15.01.2022 These are Eucalyptus deglupta (Rainbow Eucalypts or Mindanao Gum) planted in Hawaii, it is only one of four Eucalypt species that is not naturally occurring in Australia and is native to Phillipines, Idonesia and Papua New Guinea. A extremely attractive Eucalypt that will grow in Melbourne but is frost tender.
