25.01.2022 Colours for Connor Mufti Day for Tuesday this week. Gold coin donation please and Secondary please ensure you follow the uniform guidelines.
24.01.2022 Pre-kindy has been busy this year, but it looks like fun to me. I wish I was in your class Mrs Jackson.
24.01.2022 On behalf of the Blue Hills College staff, I would like to wish all our mothers a happy and wonderful Mother's Day. You are special and we would like to thank you for all the hard work you put into the children, especially during this difficult time. We salute you today and may God bless you abundantly.
23.01.2022 Blue Hills College Book Fair (30 Oct to 4 Nov) Book Fairs help our school stock up on resources to enrich your children's education. Best of all, each Fair provides kids with access to more books. More books mean more choice, which means kids get to read the books they want to read. The right book can ignite a passion for reading, so we encourage families to work together to create a reading culture at home. Reading expands the mind and nourishes the imagination. Please look at the photos of the books on sale, and contact the Administrative Office for more details. Thanks.
18.01.2022 I was so spoiled in the past two days. Yesterday when I returned to my office after a meeting, I found a lovely dessert on my table with a little note. After my first bite, I decided to take a photo and share it with you because it was so delicious! Thanks, Isabelle Janezic (Year 9) for my lovely surprise. She made it in the Food Technology class and I enjoyed it very much. Today, Tilley Allan-Male (Year 1) came and shared one of her birthday cupcakes with me. I felt so privileged and honoured. Happy birthday Tilley! I hope and trust you had a wonderful day.
17.01.2022 Dear Parents/Caregivers We would like to thank you for your support and cooperation during this unusual time with the COVID-19 pandemic. It seems that we are coming closer to the end of the lockdown period and from today at least two people are allowed to visit other people/family. We are, however, still encouraged to maintain our social distancing, especially with adults. With the exception of Pre-kindy, we would appreciate it if you could drop your children at the front wh...ere our teachers meet the students in the morning and we will endeavour to bring your children to your vehicles in the afternoons. Special arrangements are still in place at our Front Office. We are trying to limit the number of adults accessing the campus and we would appreciate it if you do not go down to the classrooms. A detailed letter will be forwarded to you today via email to outline our continued arrangements as well as the arrangements for the next few weeks. Please be mindful of the fact that the arrangements we plan for may change fairly rapidly due to ongoing changes at government level. Thank you again for your cooperation, you have been excellent and we appreciate it very much. We can only hope and trust that this comes to an end very soon. Kind regards Carel Neuhoff See more
16.01.2022 Mrs Kingston has been busy with the Year 7's and chickens and Year 8's making damper.
15.01.2022 Cross Country - Covid Style. Due to the fact that we couldn't have the usual crowds attending the Cross Country this year, the races were held in the normal sport times for students in both Primary and High School. This didn't dampen the enthusiasm for some students who put in big efforts to make it up and down and round the course, while some students took a more leisurely approach and enjoyed the sunshine and fresh air.
15.01.2022 Our Pre-kindy operates from Mondays to Wednesdays every week.
13.01.2022 NCIS Volleyball 28 Oct 2020 Good luck to all our students who will be participating in this event!!
12.01.2022 We are all back to school tomorrow!! Who hoo! Only one more term left of this COVID19 year. We are all looking forward to seeing everybody back at school and hope you all had a great holiday.
09.01.2022 Dear Mothers. The children at school put a special Mother's Day message together but the technology did not play along today. I hope and trust you all had a wonderful day and you were spoiled. Here is a special message!! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jz7DFY3tpeA&feature=youtu.be
08.01.2022 Just a reminder that Term 3 starts on Thursday 23 July.
07.01.2022 Today is the last day for our Year 12 students, and traditionally a day when we can expect all kinds of unexpected things happening at school. There is a For Sale sign in front of the school. There is also an add on Gumtree to sell the school. This is a Year 12 prank. Please be assured that our school is not for sale, and despite all the toilet paper draping over our trees and scrubs, school is going on, as usual, today and for years to come. We are celebrating with the Year 12s today, and wish them all the best for the upcoming exams. It was great having you all at Blue Hills College!!
06.01.2022 Power sorted - all back online and phones working at Blue Hills College.
04.01.2022 Look Busy - High school students have been busy doing all kinds of fun things. From Textiles and Wood Technology through to Science and Music. Thank you, teachers, for your hard work in these practical subjects. Year 7's are looking forward to chickens this week and have also been busy in the kitchen and garden.
03.01.2022 Chickens - Duck, Nugget, Princess Layer, Plucker, Hens Solo, Butter, Parmigiana - some of the more interesting names for the Chickens delivered to Year 7 students today. While it was very exciting to receive and name their chickens, it's their job to keep them alive for the next week or two until they can transition into the pen at school. This experience gives life long lessons that we could never teach in the classroom.
01.01.2022 HSC Exams - Last week the students sat their English, Music, Ancient History and CAFS exams. Today is Maths and then Biology, Modern History, and PDHPE are later in the week. Please pray for our students through this stressful time. Last week, I took a photo after the second English exam which students seemed to be pleased with. Mrs Strong provided some party poppers for the occasion.
