13.01.2022 Thermal Management. The better heat dissipation, the more efficient the LED (lighting). Depending on LED performance 35-40% of energy is converted into visible light and 60-65% into heat within the component (dissipation). At lower temperatures, the luminous output increases. Temperature not only impacts luminous output. Functional lifetime is also affected whenever a critical temperature is exceeded.
