25.01.2022 Thank you so much for your mention, we were in fact talking about our original packaging yesterday! We are very proud of our history and our fresh, wholesome Aussie grown oats and grains. We certainly have so many fantastic local businesses in SA, thank you for supporting us all "I Choose SA"

24.01.2022 Steptember is such a fantastic challenge to raise funds for Cerebral Palsy. Some of our staff have set a personal challenge for themselves to move over 10,000 steps per day for the month of September. It is lots of fun and a great motivational tool to improve ones fitness! We make each step count for people living with cerebral palsy. Cerebral palsy is the most common physical disability in childhood. It’s caused by damage to the developing brain either during pregnancy or... shortly after birth directly affecting a person’s movement and posture for life. Every dollar raised supports a wide range of initiatives, helping people living with cerebral palsy to live their best lives. Put your best step forward everyone! See more

22.01.2022 Blue Lake Milling will be at the Tatiara Employment Expo this Friday 28th August in Bordertown. We are super keen to chat to students about career opportunities at BLM, so please come and visit our stand and don't be shy - ask plenty of questions. This is a fantastic event to help students learn more about career pathways within their community!

21.01.2022 We are all a little sad this week to say farewell to Quentin Ashfield, as he leaves BLM after nearly 20 years of employment to move to the big apple of Adelaide with his family and pursue new pathways. Quentin has been an enormous asset to BLM and has worked in many roles during this time, his most resent role covering HR and Safety. He will be missed not only for his high work standards, but also as a wonderful colleague to work with. Jess & Tulianna are the lucky recipients to be filling Quentin's shoes in these roles, along with Quentin's co worker Glenda and our wonderful Safety & Quality Manager Steve. We would like to wish Quentin, Jess and family all the best for their future and hope you come back to visit us from time to time!

18.01.2022 Wonderful new season oats leaping out of the ground!

18.01.2022 Blue Lake Milling would like to recognise the difficulties our rural communities are facing with further tightening of border restrictions. We would like to send a special shout out to our valued Farmers who have property on both sides of the border and to our workers who are battling the requirements every day to travel to work. Also a big thank you to the truck drivers who continue to move our freight. BLM appreciate and support you all.

16.01.2022 Did you know BLM offers Electrical apprenticeships?

16.01.2022 Needing some breakfast inspiration - try this home made Granola recipe, served with coconut yoghurt (or yoghurt of your choice) and fresh fruit, it is definitely a Spring treat! 1 cup rolled oats 1 cup raw cashews 1 cup raw almonds... 2/3 cup raw pepita seeds 1/4 cup coconut flakes 1/4 cup coconut oil 1/3 cup honey pinch salt 3/4 cup cranberries (optional) Pre heat oven to 130 degrees and line a tray with baking paper. Use a food processor to roughly chop nuts, or a plastic bag and beat with a rolling pin. Heat coconut oil and honey in a saucepan on low heat for about 3 minutes, remove from heat and add oats, nuts and seeds. Add salt, coconut flakes and cranberries and mix well to coat all the ingredients. Spread onto the baking tray and cook for 25 mins or until golden, stirring occasionally, taking care not to burn the edges. Allow to cool and break up into a storage container.

14.01.2022 Our district of Tatiara received beautiful much needed rain last week, with some areas recording up to 50ml, this should really help our Farmers freshly sown crops to leap out the ground. It would be great to hear how much rain everyone recorded??

10.01.2022 Blue Lake Milling are essential food suppliers and are working full steam ahead to produce delicious cereals and grains!

09.01.2022 A big thank you to Sarah, Lincoln and Tulianna for representing BLM at the Tatiara Employment Expo in Bordertown last week. BLM would like to wish school leavers all the best for their future career pathways. It can be an uncertain and confusing time, but also exciting with new opportunities to explore.
