24.01.2022 Exciting things happening today at Blueline Hobart - there's a crane! We're expanding, with two containers being installed as our new storage annexe.

23.01.2022 So now we know our fire alarm works! Today we had a surprise fire drill. All staff headed outside to calmly wait for the all-clear from our friends from the Tasmania Fire Service. There was no danger, but it was good practise of our evacuation procedure.

19.01.2022 Everyone who sees this machine says, "I wish I had one of these at home." This magnificient machine irons and folds sheets of all sizes. And we have two of them!

19.01.2022 In case you missed our story on ABC News last night, here it is.

13.01.2022 Lost Property Call Out! Searching for "Ashlee" - we have a special item with your name engraved on it. It’s a team effort on all fronts at Blueline to find and return lost items to their rightful owners. Hobart Day Surgery got in touch and within 15 minutes a missing wedding ring was located. We still have a number of personal items that remain unclaimed. Please get in touch to find out if we can help you.

11.01.2022 We take a minute to pause for Remembrance Day, to commemorate the end of WW1, and to reflect that 1918 was also the time of the Spanish Flu Pandemic. Blueline Laundry has seen and survived many crises in our 127 year history, and we are grateful for those who forged our past, and shaped our future.

07.01.2022 Our very own Darrin Geard is the Tasmanian AFL All Abilities Volunteer of the Year, for his role in coaching the Tasmania AFL Inclusion Football Team. 06.01.2022 We are recruiting in Launceston! This is a great opportunity to work for Tasmania’s premier commercial laundry in a role that will provide enormous job satisfaction in a strong, values-based organisation.

05.01.2022 Today we pause to remember a tragic episode in the 127 year history of Blueline Laundry. At Mount St. Canice on 5 September 1974, a new boiler was being tested by workmen when it exploded, killing 8 people and injuring many more. Please take a moment to remember those whose lives were lost on this day. Thanks to the Sisters of the Good Shepherd Australia New Zealand, Mount St. Canice was rebuilt and the laundry continued to operate there until 1995 when it relocated to its current location in Creek Road. Barry Winburn, Mercury photographer, who on retirement recalled that this was his most memorable image from his 50 year career.

03.01.2022 2020 has been a challenging year, making it even more important for us all to stay connected and be willing to support those around us. R U OK? Day encourages all of us to have regular, meaningful conversations to support anyone struggling with life’s ups and downs.
