02.01.2022 On Sundays in October and November Mounted will open its doors again with a new project titled, ‘The Viewer is Present’ curated by Julie Parkin in collaboration with the Mounted team. Mounted is an Artist Run Initiative (ARI) situated in the Lower Blue Mountains at Springwood. Based around a gallery space, Mounted stages exhibitions and creative arts events that provide a platform for visual artists, writers and musicians to showcase their work. Mounted aims to build commu...nity through art. Mounted is inviting people to book in for a session at the Gallery to engage slowly with and respond to, just one or two artworks and one piece of short fiction. This experiential project will run for eight weeks on SUNDAYS, starting on OCTOBER 4TH. Pre-booked slots will be available between 10am and 5pm, with seven, one-hour slots available each day. A maximum of five people will be in the Gallery at any time. The dates for the show are Sundays 4,11,18,25 October & 1,8,15,22,29 November 2020 from 10am to 5pm.
