21.01.2022 Mariati [ my Indonesian partner ] loves to use our Brown Rice Miso in her cooking .She adds it to fish curries especially . It adds a delicious sweet and salty richness , and highlights the other flavors .We always notice if she forgets it . Tauco [ Indonesian / Philippine ] version of Miso is also popular with fish traditionally but lacks the complexity of flavor and nutritional benefits of Miso . So Ati's Fish Curry [ see picture ] :-- 1] Marinate fish fill...et in lemon ,ginger , garlic and salt for about 15/20 minutes .Set aside . 2] SAUCE ---- sliced garlic , red onion ,ginger ,galingal , chilli , lemon grass ,lime leaf , basil leaf ,Tomato , Capsicum , carrot [cut matchstick ], cucumber [ matchstick ], Miso ,fish sauce .METHOD---- Add little oil to wok . Fry onion and garlic and sliced chili till smells good , add galingal , ginger , lemon grass , lime leaf and a little water . Simmer for a few minutes .Add carrots and then the remaining vegetables .In the final seconds add Miso and Fish sauce . 3] To thicken sauce --use a little flour dissolved in cold water . 4] Optional ---- add Mirim and vinegar . 5] Cook fish with your preferred method --- fry, steam , grill etc. See more

16.01.2022 I recently harvested a fresh batch of Organic Mellow Brown Rice Miso which we made back in September. I was particularly pleased with the result. It is a excellent deep gold colour with a delicious sweet flavor and a beautiful aroma.

06.01.2022 I have wonderful news to share ---- The Rabbit Government has not yet upset any South American nation . Of course the same cannot be said for the rest of the planet . All is not lost however coz Mr Rabbit has directed Julie to sooth the disturbed sensibilities of the Middle East nations coz they're threatening to stop buying our sheep meat . She has suggested that her government could possibly revert to " occupied " with a SMALL " o " . Would that be acceptable please Sheikhs ? We don't want to loose face with a complete back flip . The media would give us hell . Besides it sounds heaps better than " Disputed " , surely ? As to South America , just wait a bit . They've only been in office a while .

03.01.2022 I've just finished my last Anastasia [ Ringing Cedars } book . What a total mind blast they all are . My idea of what it is to be Human has been given a complete re- work . Anastasia says that we ARE made " in God's image " . That we are all capable of the extraordinary acts/ feats that she performs everyday as a matter of course . All we need is to achieve the same " purity of mind " and return to our " pristine origins " --- perhaps not quite so easy to achieve , but t...hen , what is there to loose ? Did you know that in 1999 , 35 million families [ 105 million people or 70 % of the population ] owned a Dacha and were cultivating it . Their idea of how to spend a great weekend is somewhat different from the Australian one of sand surf and cricket on the TV . These families provide 92% of Russia's spuds ,77% of the vegetables ,87 % of the berries and fruit ,59% of the meat ,49.2 % of the milk . Like
